On Thursday we got up and were slow at getting out the door. (as were most mornings) The kids would wake up and crawl in bed with us. We would watch one show of their choice and then head down and make some breakfast. Craig and I were loving our sweet morning cuddles!!
Then we headed down to the beach!! The water today was so calm it was wonderful!!
Emery was making some sand cupcakes for Nana and Pawpaw!!
She was so serious about it too! She would take her time and pat pat pat the sand to make sure it would make a good cupcake!!
Oh I could just eat her up!! Gotta love those sweet lips!!

Having a little snack!! Max was just so sweet to Emery most of the week! I think he secretly LOVED that Emery was sleeping with him every night. ;) No but seriously it really has gotten to be more fun between the two of them. They are really playing and interacting more and more each day! I hope they stay the best of friends for life!!
So....Pawpaw had this great idea...lets share our snack with the one legged bird (he felt sorry for him) well it brought a TON of birds near us. So many that Emery started getting freaked out. Thankfully one of beach neighbors finally scared a bunch of them off!! Lesson learned....NEVER feed the birds....LOL

Okay I hate having pictures taken when I am this big but I do want my kids to know I was around during our vacays so...with that said don't look closely....ha!! Anyways, Emery decided she liked the water today and wanted to go for a swim. Well, we noticed there was a sand bar no too far out so we all went for a swim out to it!! Max loved being able to stand so far out in the water!! Thanks to my mom for capturing a few pictures of us!!
Some of our beach neighbors caught a hermit crab!!
Max and Emery were fascinated with it!! They helped the boys build a little house for it and watched it for a while. Then the boys took it back out to the sand bar where they found it.

Who knew this girl would be running in and out of the ocean by the end of the week by herself!! And LAUGHING and LOVING it!!! We had a fun filled day at the beach and then headed to the pool for a while. Then back to the house for naps since we were going to attempt family beach pictures that night.
I painted Emery's toes for the first time!! She thought it was so great!! She kept saying "Oh, pitty!!" and "Look my toes!" It was so cute!! I think she may have showed me her toes 20 times!!
Family pictures went over okay...see the next post for pictures and more details. After our pictures we headed to dinner at another local favorite McGuire's Pub!!
It was a pretty neat place! The entire place was covered in one dollar bills!! It started years ago when the owner but her first dollar tip on the wall and it took off from there. This wasn't my favorite restaurant but Craig, my Mom and Dad said it was their FAVORITE!! Apparently if you like steak you will LOVE it!! They all got steak and said it was one of the best steaks they have ever eaten!!
After dinner we headed back to the beach with our flash lights!! We wanted to see what all the crab fuss was about. It was so much fun!! I have never been to the beach at night to search for crabs!
Well they were everywhere!! Little ones...medium ones...big ones!! If you look close you can see a small one on the sand. Crazy how they blend in and crazy how tiny some of them are. We saw ones that were smaller than this!!
The kids loved looking for crabs. We ran into some other people doing it too. They had a bucket full. They were catching them and were going to let them go at the end. They were telling us that if you go out knee deep in the water you can catch blue crabs...ones you can actually eat! So cool!!
