5 months!!

Well, our lil peanut turned 5 months just a few days ago!!! It is unreal that in just a few weeks she will be half a year old!!

Miss Emery is getting to be so much FUN! She is playing playing with everything you hand her and of course it ALL goes straight to the mouth! She is grabbing at everything too! There are just so many reasons to LOVE this stage!!!

Our feeding schedule is down to 4 6oz bottles at usually 8am, 12pm, 4pm, and 8pm but of course that varies on times daily because Emery likes her OWN schedule...ha! I am still trying fruits right now. She eats cereal mixed with fruit in between her morning bottles and in between her night bottles. She is really doing better with eating cereals now but she lets us know when she doesn't want it! She already has such a little attitude (I have NO idea where she gets that from.....LOL!) Notice the pic below...this girl LOVES her bottle! She usually puts her hands over her face like that and closes her eyes while she eats...unless there are a lot of people around or Max is acting crazy then she is easily distracted..... Still pumping breastmilk for her but not sure how much longer that is going to last. My supply has dropped drastically even though I have quite a bit in the freezer just not sure how much longer it will all last!

Trying PEARS for the first time....wasn't so sure at first but she actually eats them better than any of the other fruits we have tried. We have tried Apples, Pears, and Bananas!

I made this little pillowcase dress for her last week and she was making me laugh the entire time we were doing our infamous chair pics because she kept trying to get the paisleys off the dress! There is definitely nothing wrong with this girls sight now!!!

Trying to taste them here! HA! I told you she puts EVERYTHING in her mouth!!!

Still not the greatest sleeper....She usually takes a 30min to hr morning nap and a long afternoon nap. We have no schedule on times I usually just know when she needs to go down by the way she is acting. The only thing that stays the same is bedtime. She likes her bottle at 8 or 8:30 and then she is off to bed. Now she wakes up at any given time....lately she seems to like to get up at 4 or 5am and want to play! Ugh!! I am hoping that this is just a little phase!

She has found her little voice and she is making baby noises all the time! It is quite hilarious because she thinks she needs to hold her tongue out the entire time she is "talking"! She smiles ALL the time! I just love how easy it is to make her smile or laugh!

Our lil priss is weighing in at 16lbs!! I haven't measured her length! Oops! I need to do that!

Clothes 3-6 months but probably could put her in some 6-9months now.

Likes: Being held, Rainforest Jumper, Bouncy seat, Playmat, Being played with and talked to, Eating, Riding in the car (I do this on the days I can't get her to sleep and wala she is out like a light!) and she just ADORES her brother Max

Dislikes: Being left alone, Not being held (ha), She doesn't like ANYTHING if she is the least bit tired or hungry ( I told you this girl has attitude...LOL)!!!

Little Emery I have to say that we are all SO TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH YOU!! Your daddy, brother and I just are amazed with all the new things you are doing daily! We are truly enjoying you and just love spending our days with you! God has blessed us with an amazing little girl!

"BIG" Basketball Hoop!

So we finally made the switch! As many of you know Santa accidentally got the same size hoop that Max already had for Christmas....so we took that one back and got the "BIG" one!! This one will adjust up to 6ft! Max was SO EXCITED!!!

We actually got a different one than we had picked out for him but we like it just as much!

Max helped Daddy get it all set up and then of course they had to "try" it out!!

Max just kept saying it was so "BIG" and "I love it!" So wish we would have had the right one out for Christmas morning!!!

Oh well....at least he is LOVING it now and he has a little more room to grow with this one!!!

I think we officially have every type of basketball thing you can have except for a real "BIG" hoop for the front yard....I am sure that will come if this obsession continues!!!!

21 weeks!

Another bout of snow!! This is our second one of the year! I think we got like 2 inches or so Thursday night so this is what we woke up to Friday morning! So beautiful!!!!

We didn't do anything on Friday! Max, Emery, and I stayed in our pjs ALL day! When Craig got home that night he said oh they have already had baths!? Ummmmm....well.....not exactly....we just have changed all day! LOL

Our cutie patootie turned 21 weeks on Friday! She is really starting to be A LOT of FUN! She is starting to sleep more at night and play more during the day (without being fussy all the time I might add)!!! Yea! I mean we still have our "bad" days but don't we all have those time to time!!!

She is really chewing on her fingers or whatever she can grap and put in her mouth these days! Her gums on the bottom look thicker so we may see some teeth popping up through in the next month......we shall see......

This past week has been just such a great one! I am really starting to enjoy being a mommy of two these days!! I am truly blessed to have two wonderful healthy babies!!! Might I dare say it....I think I could have another......well....maybe not.....I don't know....maybe.....ha ha ha

I mean seriously I just can't get enough of this little girl!!! She is just PRECIOUS!!!! I just want to KISS her chubby cheeks ALL DAY LONG!!!! We love you "goodness" (that is what your daddy calls you)!

Not so sure about APPLES either....

Okay so totally not related to the post but too cute NOT to share!! I just love how excited this girl gets sometimes!!! Check out that smile! I just LOVE her!!!!

Anyways...back to the post....I tried applesauce this week and Emery was like ummmmm.....what is this mommy!?

I seriously think she has an issue with textures.....

I mean how can applesauce make you gag?! I wish I could have captured all the faces she made trying it! It was quite the scene!

Unless of course....it is all about the texture....we shall keep trying......

20 weeks!

Our little princess is 20 weeks today!

She is really starting to show some of her personality! She is such a smiley girl when she is getting exactly what she wants! Ha! Emery is really starting to babble, coo, laugh, cackle, and blow raspberries! I love just listening to her talk to us or herself! It is so cute! She will mimic you when you blow raspberries at her too! I just LOVE it! I have some video of it I will have to post when I get a chance!

Emery is sitting supported very well and she will even try and sit up by herself in her carseat, swing, bouncy seat, etc. She gets frustrated very easily since she isn't quite big enough or strong enough to situp by herself just yet! She is rolling all over. I can't just lay her down and expect her to be where I left her anymore....

She is really into grabbing toys and trying to get them into her mouth! It is crazy how much they change week to week. Emery just seems to really be blossoming these past few weeks....now if we could just sleep all night and not have so many fussy periods we would be ALL GOOD in the Lawson house!

Look at that BIG girl sitting up so good!!! She is weighing about 15lbs 3oz. Wearing size 3-6 month clothes and a size 3 diaper!! Still a size 1 shoe!

I just LOVE this little girl! Even if she can be difficult at times you just take one look at her and your heart melts!!!

Especially when she is doing this....awww pure sweetness!!!

Little Miss Emery we are just head over heels in LOVE with you! You are such a blessing to us and we thank GOD everyday for you....(even the days I am asking if anyone wants to take you home with them...LOL).... We truly cannot imagine our life without her!!!

Not so sure about OATMEAL....

So, I have been trying cereal again this week....and let's just say Emery is not a fan....

Not sure what I am going to do because I think she doesn't like the texture! Isn't all baby food about the same texture?!

Well, at least she LOVES her momma's milk because otherwise she might go hungry.....

Snow Fun!

We got our FIRST real snow of the year this past Sunday night/Monday morning! I came home from work to a beautiful site!!

Max was ready to go out and play as soon as I got home! We didn't stay out long the first time since he refused to wear gloves and I was pretty tired! Miss Emery seemed to like her FIRST time with snow!!!

Isn't she just ADORABLE!!!

Max got to try out his new sled Nana and Pawpaw got him a while back! It worked great!!! He had a lot of fun riding while mommy was pulling him up and down the street! Thanks Nana and Pawpaw!!

Later in the afternoon (after a much needed nap for me) Max and I went back out to play! We walked up and down the street to see everyone's snowmen and then we had a little snowball fight with the some of our neighbors kids!

After Daddy got done working and Emery was down for her afternoon nap we headed to the backyard to make our "big" snowman!!!

It was quite easy to make as the snow rolled right up!!!

All we had were mini carrots so we added like 4 of those for the nose! Ha!

We added Max's bubble wands for the eyes and a pot for the hat.....

And lastly a twizzler for the mouth....one for Max and one for Mr. Snowman!

After we made the snowman Max asked us to make him a "big" basketball hoop! Craig and I just started cracking up! We told him we couldn't make a basketball hoop but we could make snow basketballs!! So we started making lots of them and then....

.....we brought Max's hoop out so he could "take em to the hoop"!!!

We had such a FUN snow day! It was nice having Craig home even if he was working! What a wonderful day of memories!!!
