Craig fed baby Max his first Oatmeal cereal Saturday! Lets just say Max had a good ole time playing in the cereal. We let him help feed himself and let him play with the bowl! It was too cute! We went right into the bath after this feeding because he had cereal all over the place!!! Oh but he did LOVE him some OATMEAL!

Friday Update

So..just a lil update. We went to Methodist Germantown on Friday to get the ultrasound of kidneys and bladder. Everything looked good....I didn't see anything abnormal on the ultrasound. God is GOOD! I felt like a weight was lifted after I looked at the ultrasound and didn't see any lumps or bumps!!! Max did great during the ultrasound. We had to wait for almost 2hrs before going back but he just laid there on the table looking up at the radiology tech! The tech couldn't believe how good he was! She said I would love it if all the babies were as good as he was! She told us we must be so proud of our lil boy! Lets just say WE ARE!!!! I should hear from Dr. Christion Monday sometime and I will post an update. Please keep praying for our lil boy. He has pretty much had a blood in every morning diaper but he is still doing great. Our happy, sweet, laid back, lil boy!! God I just thank you for him!!

I like SWEET POTATOES!

Max had sweet potatoes for the first time last night...these pics were taken today! He loves him some sweet potatoes!!! Happy 5 month birthday my lil one!

5 months old!

My lil peanut is 5 months old today! He is weighing in at 17lbs 3oz! He is getting so big! He is eating 4 60z bottles still...cereal in the morning and 2 veggies at night. Today I switched him up to eat cereal in the morning, veggie at lunch, and veggie at night. I had to stop rice cereal at night because it was hurtin his belly!! He has now had squash, carrots, and sweet potatoes. The carrots seem to bother his belly too so I will retry those in a month or so....

We went to the doc this morning. Basically just dropped off a urine sample. They called and said no blood in it?! So they are sending it off to lab to do a micro sample of it. We are set up for a renal (kidneys and bladder) ultrasound Friday at 11am! So just pray everything looks good! Max is having a much better day than yesterday. He was a fussy bucket yesterday! Nothing made him happy...well except for eating and his daddy! I couldn't believe how happy he was when daddy got home....I think maybe he was just missin his daddy yesterday!! He was laughin and havin a good ole time with Craig last night! Lil stinker!!!

Sorry I haven't updated....

Okay...so haven't updated in a few days! Sorry! Baby Max is still have some blood in his diapers. Actually he has had it Sat, Sun, Mon and today! I called the MD Mon and they wanted me to bring his diaper in. So off we went to take the diaper. They tried to test it...but no luck! The doc called me Mon afternoon and said it was blood but there wasn't enough of it on the diaper to test...so I guess that is good...right?! Well, anyways she wanted to consult a pediatric urologist and she said she would call me back Tue. So here it is Tue and Dr. Christion called me this afternoon with the verdict of.....we are going to get another urine sample in the morning since it is happening every morning now. So we are going to head to the clinic at 7:30 in the morning. Then Friday she wants to get an ultrasound of Max's kidneys and bladder that is if we find somewhere open with the holidays! So PLEASE just keep BABY MAX in your PRAYERS! I just have no idea what could be going on with my lil guy!

Tonight I was reading him the book "Because God Gave Us You" and I just wanted sit and rock my sweet baby forever. If you have never read that book it is a must read. It tells your lil one how God gave us them. It is just so sweet. I am just so thankful God gave us baby Max! He truly is a blessing (even when he has done nothing but cry all day today!)! I really can't imagine my life without baby Max! He is the best gift God has ever given me! I just want to lift him up to God right now and have God put his healing hands on him! THANK YOU GOD!! I am giving it all over to YOU!

21 weeks old!!

Baby Max is 21 weeks old today! Weighing in at about 17lbs! He is such a big boy! He is wearing 6-9 month clothes and not quite 5 months! Ha! He is doing really pretty good with eating his veggies and cereal. Some days better than others...but then again aren't we all like that!!!

So I heard from the doc yesterday late afternoon. She called and said NO BLOOD was found in any of the pee they tested. Which is GREAT news! There was a little bacteria that grew but nothing abnormal. However...we aren't sure where the blood is coming from. We are guessing from the tip of his penis... so she wants me to but triple antibiotic cream on it for the next few days. Then I am to call her Monday with an update of the past few days. Bad news...his first diaper had blood and his second diaper had blood?! I don't know where it is coming from though...I don't see any open sores or anything!? So Dr. Chrisition said if he is still having blood through the weekend then she wants to send us to a urologist to get further testing done. She said they would probably have to put him to sleep to check everything out...so I just PRAY that there is NO MORE BLOOD!! I don't want Max to be put to sleep! But of course I want them to be able to find out what is wrong and fix it too.... Anyways...enough about this....please just keep lil Max in your prayers!!!

I guess new things this week are reaching for us and sitting up really good! He is still grabbing at everything! He is holding faces and giving kisses (well I think he is giving kisses he is probably just trying to suck on our face!) He is just growing up TOO fast! He is such a joy to watch everyday! Oh I almost forgot he is getting his knees under him and pushing up a little so we may have a early crawler on our hands by Christmas!!!

Road Trip

We took a road trip to Tunica yesterday with Hannah and Charity! We had a 20% off coupon for Carters outlet....so we headed there to get some winter clothes for the babies! Let me tell you we hit the jackpot! They had sales galore! We got like 12 outfits, a blanket, and a bib between the two of us for $95 dollars!!! Can you believe that! Such a bargain! Everything was like 50, 60 or 70% off!!! So go to Carters outlet if you need anything for your little one!

Update

Okay...so my sister-n-law LuLu informed me last night that I needed to update about Max. She said she was just waitin for an update...sorry everyone. Well, I haven't heard anything from the doc yet....but good news I haven't noticed any more blood. I bagged Max and got his first pee this morning. It looked pretty nasty...so maybe just a UTI??? I am going to take it to the doctor's office here in a bit. He has been a happy boy pretty much. He woke up a lot Monday night but last night he sleep good...so nothing really unusual going on with him. One exciting thing is he is reachin for his momma!!! It just melts my heart everytime he does it. He also gets really excited when he reaches for me..such a sweet little boy! Here are some cute pics from the past few days...

Prayer Request!

So just a little prayer request for my little baby Max. Max has had two diapers with bloody urine in them. Not much blood...but enough to call the doc. Saturday was the first time and then this morning was the second. So...needless to say I called the doc and went in for a visit at 12:15 today. Dr. Christion is so great...she saw him right away. They took a urine sample by putting a plastic little bag around his penis...thank God no in and out catheter today!!! So then it was just a waiting game for little man to pee. Thankfully he peed in like 5 min flat (well he was striped down naked and I was wiping him with cold wet wipes....that might have helped...ha!) Dr. Christion said she couldn't believe how fast I got him to pee....she said some babies are there for an hour or so waiting! So the good news is she checked the urine with a dipstick and it said no blood. But they are sending off a sample to the lab to check for bacteria, blood, etc. Dr. Christion said the sample sent off to lab will tell us more by the end of the week. Since both diapers were in the morning with his first pee Dr. Christion sent me home with bags to try and catch his first pee in the morning. Hopefully it will be nothing and we are doing all of this for no reason....but I just know my little man needs praying for. Being a pediatric cancer nurse doesn't help matters...you can just imagine thoughts going through my head. I know I shouldn't worry and leave it all to God. I know HE is IN CONTROL..but it is only natural to worry a little about your baby. I mean Max is so helpless and I don't won't him to have to go through any of this.... On a good note...he hasn't been cranky or irritable, no fever, and he has been eating and playing good so like I said hopefully it is nothing!!

Max is grabbing at your face and pulling it towards him like he going to kiss on ya! It is so sweet. He is also putting his little arms around your head like he is giving you a hug! He also has been trying to grab your lips, nose, ears, and of course my glasses! I love that he is such a snuggly bug! He will just cuddle up and snuggle in and be just the happpiest baby you have ever seen!

My FIRST veggie!

Max had his first veggie today at lunch! He had squash! I am not too sure what he thought about it. I really had to say some silly things to get him to smile for the picture. HA! When I put the first bite in his mouth his little facial expression was priceless! He just wasn't too sure about it. He has been eating cereal for breakfast and dinner for a week now so it was time to bring on a veggie! So much fun! I still thinks he likes his milk the most!

Lettin out a little aggression on the football!

Baby Max is 20 weeks old today! He is weighing in at about 17lbs! He is getting so heavy!! I just can't believe my little baby is growing up so fast!!! He is so much fun these days! He is grabbing at everything and putting everything in his mouth! He has been taking his pacifier out and putting into his mouth sideways so I bought big boy pacifiers today! They seem so big but he loves them! I was actually surprised because he has only wanted one kind since he was born! Of course it is still the same brand but bigger. He is really into sleeping with his lovie blanket. I give it to him during naps and at bedtime but then take it away after he drifts off to sleep. He has rolled completely over but I have missed it both times. I put him down on one side of the play mat and go back in the playroom to find him on the other side of the playmat! The little stinker won't do it in front of me! He is really getting into his baby Einstein movies. He will only watch it for about 15min and then he is ready to do something else! Such a busy little boy! He just laughs and laughs at any funny sound you make and he is lovin some peekaboo!

Last night while winding down for bed, Craig had some daddy son bonding time. He sat with Max for about 30min playing and telling him about all the holidays! It was the cutest thing I ever did see. Craig was even telling Max about the tooth fairy. Such a sweet daddy!!! Then Max laid down and cuddled with Craig as he drifted off to sleep! He was just so comfy in his daddy's arms!

Baby Max is eatin cereal twice a day now and of course he LOVES it! He gets so excited fot it! He has had a little trouble with gas and his little cheeks have broken out with a small rash twice. I am not sure if he is having a reaction or if the cereal itself is making his skin a little red?! Don't know! I figure if it keeps happening then I will let doc know but for now he seems really happy with his cereal!

My lil belly sleeper!

Well, baby Max is sleepin on his belly more and more these days! He is wakin up at least 2 times a night and flippin over! I guess since he can flip back it's okay but it still worries me!!! I kind of liked that he didn't like to sleep on his belly in the beginning.... It is so cute though. He puts his little legs under him usually and his little butt is stickin up in the air. I will try and capture some pics of that this week! But for now just pray that my little one will be able to flip back over if he needs to....

Well, baby Max is 19 weeks old today! He is weighin in at 16lbs 5oz! He has been eating cereal for 5 days now! Tonight will be the 6th night. I started out feeding him in the mornin to make sure we had NO reactions and then went to bedtime. He seems to like it better at night! But then again he has always eaten better in the evening! We have had a pretty rough week ever since daylight savings hit! For some reason he has just been a little cranky butt! He is waking up about 4 times a night....but finally last night he only woke up once and he has been better today! He just hasn't been taking good naps either! I know he is frustrated because he usually feels good and is a happy baby! I am sure he will be glad (along with mommy) when his little body gets use to the time change! He is just TIRED (i think?!). New things this week: He is really grabbing at things. He will grab whatever you are holding or anything in front of him! He is also gettin his knees up under him when he is layin on his belly and pushin off. It won't be long till those arms are strong enough and he will be crawlin! Today he flipped over on his belly on the changing table for the first time! He is such a silly little boy! He really likes to be on his belly! He is also flippin to his belly at night. It kind of surprises me because he HATED sleepin on his belly so much a few weeks ago! Funny how fast they change! Well, I hear little one up from his nap....
