Botanical Gardens with Cooper!

On May 15th we met up with our little buddy Cooper and his Mommy Amy!! We decided to meet up at Botanical Gardens Big Back Yard! It was Amy's idea and such a GREAT one as I am sure it will be super busy very soon!
It was such a BEAUTIFUL day that day!! The kids and I got there earlier and had a picnic lunch. Then we played at the tunnels and...

did a little hula hooping before Cooper got there!!
The kids were cracking me up hula hooping! Em and Max actually did quite good for not having much practice ;)
Max did get to twirling so fast that he fell down on his bottom! He was laughing so hard after he did it!! Too funny!
Waiting on the "front porch" waiting on our buddy!!

After Coop got there we decided to go and feed the Koi first!! It has been a while (maybe a yr) since we had gone and fed the fish so Max and Emery were ALL about it!! Coop was LOVING it too!!
Then we were off to the creek and the rain area!! Kids were so excited to play in the creek bed and get WET!!!

And they were even MORE EXCITED when the "rain" came down!! Love these pics of Max and Coop!! They had so much fun running through the rain!!
Sweet friends for almost 5 yrs now!! Where has the time gone!!
We took a little break from the water element and went touring around through the houses, had a snack, potty break, etc.

Then back to the RAIN!! Emery joined in this time around!! She was LOVING every minute of it! The kids were sad when the rain stopped!!
I have to say sitting here watching the kids laugh, giggle, scream, and run around was so precious to me! They were just enjoying every minute of the rain coming down on them. I definitely took a moment to capture a little moment in time of pure happiness from my kids!! Nothing better than the sweet giggles of your kids and your friends kids!!

More fun in the creek!! Then we stayed around for one more round of RAIN!!
Silly girl!! "I WET, Mommy!!"

At the end we decided to let the kids swing on the front porch and dry off a little before we headed out. I brought some fun dip for the kids to enjoy together!! Such a fun day with some awesome friends!!

ABC Church Preschool Program

On May 15th Max had his ABC Bible Verse Program. Throughout the school year our church does this book with the 3 and 4 yr old kids. Max did it last year but this year they had a little program showing what the kids learned.

The kids all learned a bible verse for each letter of the alphabet and hand motions too!

We really weren't sure what we were coming to watch but it turned out to be so CUTE!! And I didn't have my video camera :( Thankfully one of our friends daughter was right behind Max so she is going to make me a copy of her video.
We were really so PROUD of how much Max has learned from this program and so grateful and blessed for his wonderful teachers!! Max just LOVES going on Wednesday nights with his sweet teachers and friends!
At the end of the program they called out each kids name and gave them a medal! Max was super excited about his medal!!
Then afterwards we came back to their classroom for an ice cream party!! Emery was ALL ABOUT having some ice cream with bubba!!
They also gave Max a little certificate with the medal. You can see above pic and below some close ups of his medal!

Mother's Day 2013

Mother's Day was May 12th this year. A Sunday so of course I worked that night. My parents were out of town so I slept at their house that day and came home to a few surprises ;) This beautiful sign written by Max was in the garage when I pulled in! So so cute!! Just LOVE it!!
And on the kitchen table were some fresh flowers the kiddos picked out and all of their handmade goodies they made at school and church!

Emery's gifts to me!! I just love the little hand print flag! So cute!! This was made at church!
And Emery made this for me at school! I love the little poem!! So sweet!

Max's little goodies to me!! The blue flower in the pot is actually a pen. He made that at school and was oh so proud of it!! The little pink coupons he made at church. He was very proud of those too! I will def have to remember to use them. They are coupons for him to help me with things around the house!

And you can't beat a sweet hand print card!! Just LOVE anything with their sweet little hand prints! Even hand prints all over the glass doors :) (like their is right now, LOL)
We celebrated Mother's day with Craig's parents Saturday night before I went to work. I didn't take any pictures because Reid had just gotten out of the hospital and they really weren't up for much other than a quick dinner together. We picked up Olive Garden and had a wonderful dinner with them!
My Mom came back into town on Sunday so we decided to move Mother's Day to Tuesday ;)
We took them out to Cheddars! This was a first time for all of us as this is a fairly new restaurant.
The kids wanted to make something for Nana so we decided on some cute hand print pics! Turned out pretty cute!!

We actually found a "Nana" card this year!! The kids loved it because it had monkeys all over it!!

We ended up having an okay dinner. Service was a little slow and can't say that my food was the best. However, the rest of the crew liked their meals! We may venture back when the newness wears off and it isn't so incredibly busy!
Overall, a special Mother's Day!! I could have just gotten the little sign from Max and I would have felt special!! Just cherish the little things ;)
