Carving our pumpkin!

Saturday morning Max's soccer game was cancelled :( so we took the opportunity to go and find a BIG pumpkin and carve it!!
We found a simi good one at Walmart! Can't beat 4 bucks for this baby!! Kids were very excited to get started!! First we gave the pumpkin a little bath because he was very dirty!!
Then we cut off the top! Max keep saying "Oh I am ready!!"
Getting the goop out!! Max and Emery went right away at it....
then Emery decided to watch the boys....she said "Yucky!"
Sweet smiles!!
Max didn't mind at all!! He was all about helping Daddy clean out the inside!!

We couldn't decide on a picture in our carving book so the kids and I made our own face. It was similar to a face in the book but we didn't want it to be scary.
Max was giddy with excitement!! He just keep giggling and saying "Oh I am so happy! and Oh this is my favorite thing ever!!" He was cracking me up!!
The kids loved popping out the part that I just cut out. They took turns. Emery popped out the nose and she kept running around saying "I got the punkin's nose!!" Ha ha ha ha! She thought it was hilarious!!
When we got done we took it inside and put a candle in it in the laundry room so the kids could see what our pumpkin would look like. They were screaming!! They LOVED it!! So cute how little things make the kids so excited!! ;)
Our little kitty cat pumpkin. He needs some black ears and I think he would look like one....
It was fun to do together as a family!! So blessed to be able to share time and soak up all these memories.

Fun with Noah and Maggie!

I got blessed with helping out with my dear friend Candice kids this past week!! On Wednesday we picked the kids up after school and had them for the afternoon and dinner!
Max and Emery were PUMPED when we went to pick up Noah and Maggie!! Unfortunately Candice needed me because of her sweet niece Ava was having MRIs done to prepare for brain surgery the next day :( Lots and lots of prayers are needed for Miss Ava Roten!! You can find her page on FB called Pray for Ava!!

Maggie and Emery played and played together!! I think they had all of Emery's babies out at one point. They were feeding them, bathing them, taking them shopping!! It was so so cute!
Max and Noah had fun playing the Wii together! And of course basketball, wrestling, football, and other games!
After dinner I had time to give Maggie a bath before Candice came. Maggie had asked for a bath all afternoon. So I couldn't tell her no ;) We had tea parties, went "wimming", and even colored the bath water!! Fun times!!
Thursday morning Candice dropped the kids off before heading to be at the hospital for Ava's brain surgery. The kids played a bit in the morning and then I took Max and Emery to school for a couple of hours.
We went and got Max and Emery and headed to McDonalds for some lunch and play time!!

The boys had fun playing on the computers while the girls went running around and sliding!!
After McDonalds we came home to make COOKIES!!

The kids had fun decorating them!!

And the BEST part was EATING them!! Yum! Yum!!
Emery's favorite part was the icing!! LOL
Then we read a story about making Halloween masks and in the back it showed us how to make some so.....
we made our very own cat masks....or Noah's was batman....
 Maggie's was a princess...
 Max's was a blue skeleton....
and Emery's was a "pincess kitty"
 Sweet friends!!
About 3:15 the kids were all getting tired and whiny... sooooo
I made a big pallet on the floor and we watched a Halloween movie!
Kids stayed like this for about 20 minutes and then they were hungry so we had some popcorn and finished our show until Candice came to get them. She came giving the BEST news!! Ava's surgery went very well and they got ALL the tumor out!! Praise the LORD!! God is GOOD!!

Cedar Hills Farm 2012 (warning...LOT of pics!)

On Sunday Oct. 21st after church we headed out to Cedar Hill Farms with Nana and Pawpaw!! We ended up having a picnic lunch in the car on the way!! So fun!!
Kids were so excited to get there!!
My little pumpkins!!
Posing for a pic!! Max wanted to be the bunny and Emery wanted to be the bird! So cute!!
First up was feeding the animals!!
Emery wasn't so sure about it. We tried to help her some.
Max was all about it! He LOVED it and wasn't scared at all!!
Emery's face...I don't wanna feed the animals....

We headed to the pig races next. Emery and Max were pumped about this!! Emery kept asking "Piggies, are you?" It was so cute! Then they came racing out!! Kids were jumping up and down and yelling for the white pig!! (that was our groups color) We actually won the first race!! So fun!!
We were going to ride the train but there was a massive line so we opted out. We went back to finish off our animal food we had. Kids spotted a kitty cat! That may have been there fave animal. Both of them have such a love for kitties. Not sure where they get that from. So wish I wasn't allergic because I would buy them one in a heartbeat!

Watching the singing chickens!! Both Max and Em got a kick out of it!!

How tall are we!! Emery is catching up to Max!!
A new thing this year!! A really HUGE slide!! I should have taken a picture of the entire length. The kids had a BLAST going down it!!
Emery's face was hilarious coming down!!
"Ewww Mommy that was bun!!!"

Anywhere there is a swing this girl will find it!! She LOVES to swing!! She is always so giggly when she does!! I love it!!

It was a little warm out so we stopped for some Italian Ice to cool us off!! Yum Yum!!
Hayride to the pumpkin patch!!
Me any my sweet girl!! Max wanted to stay over with his Nana and Pawpaw!! Thats okay they need some loving too ;)

The pumpkin patch wasn't much of a pumpkin patch. It was more of a lot of land of dirt. :( We found NO big pumpkins. Not sure what was up with that. You can see one in the pic above but it was actually busted on one side. BOO!

Kids had fun none the less. They found all kinds of cute little ones...green ones....green and orange ones....rotten ones...
Posing for our pumpkin patch pic....LOL I think I got better ones in front of my fireplace ;)

On our way back to the farm. Nana and Pawpaw!! LOVE LOVE this sweet pic! They are hard to get to pose for pictures!!

When we got back we looked around to see if there were any big pumpkins....none really for carving! But Emery found a little something....the PUMPKIN PRINCESS!!!
Emery was memorized by her!! She just kept pointing to her and saying "Look Mommy, a pincess"! I can't tell you how bad I wanted to snatch her up and run as fast as I could to Disney!! I so cannot wait to share those magical moments with her next year!!
Emery and her "pincess"!
Max even thought she was pretty neat! He kept showing her his pumpkin he found. Then he would go get another one to show her....thinking he thought she was pretty ;)

A little tractor fun!! This old tractor is sitting by the exit. Kids had fun playing on it and pretending!!

Then as we were walking out it dawned on me...we didn't get a family photo. So why not try real quick...LOL Who does that after spending all morning at church and all afternoon at a pumpkin patch!! LOL Well honestly the first pic isn't horrible!!
All in all it was a WONDERFUL fun day spent together as a family! Thanks Nana and Pawpaw for going with us!! We enjoyed our day together with you!! So sad I had to go back to work or we could have enjoyed more fun that night. Oh well...gotta pay for fun things right?!
