Max's 5th Soccer Game!

This past Saturday Max had his 5th Soccer Game!! We had a little drama to start off as I actually thought we were the "home" team this week (which means your team wears blue). Max was super excited about it because we have only worn blue for one game. However, I looked at the schedule wrong and I forgot to bring his black jersey. So, I had to find someone to let us borrow one. Max was NOT happy about it and I honestly thought he wasn't even going to play!!
Thankfully after a little talking we convinced him to put the black jersey on. Then it took some serious talking to convince him to play. Max was so upset about having to wear a black jersey. He just wanted to be on the blue team today...sigh...Sometimes it is so crazy how one little thing can make such a difference in a little kids life!! On a good note...the next game is a "home" game so he will get to wear BLUE!!! Yay! That was part of our motivation to get Max to play ;)
The kids were up against a really good team!! I think they prob scored about 10 goals or more in the first half.
Max was really good at getting in their and getting the ball. We def seem some improvements in him each week!

SNACK TIME!!
We invited our neighbor Ella to come along with us this morning!! It was so great to have her with us today!!
Shortly after halftime Kellar scored his first GOAL!! Max was out on the field with him. They were so excited and they starting hugging again like last week! So so precious!! Just melts my heart!! I so wish this pic wasn't blurry. They had the BIGGEST smiles on their faces!!
I just love how the two of them get so excited for each other when they score! You can't really see Kellar but he has his arm around Max. So stinking cute!
Got to LOVE that Max was "SOSO" this week!! Cracks me up! Guess I will remember to bring BOTH jerseys for the last few games! LOL

Right before it was time to go Emery decided to pour her water bottle all over her. She got so tickled over it too! It was too cute! This girl LOVES playing in the water!! Thankfully it was warm enough to just take her shirt off and make the ride home!
Such a FUN morning watching Max and his buddies play soccer!! Kellar ended up being the only goal for their team but they all had such a great time it doesn't matter!

Lately...

Okay...so the big question everyone is asking...why did it take you a few weeks to get the blog caught up. Well, the truth is Craig did Faithwalk (March 22-25), then I did Faithwalk (March 29-April 1st) and for Faithwalk you are out-of-town per say and no connections to the outside world. Then the following week was Easter week...then I got pretty sick...ended in an ER visit but no worries I am on the mend. Then lastly Craig and I went on our first get away (look back at Happy 5th Anniversary post). And then you throw in that Max and Emery have school Mondays, Max has school Tue and soccer practice Tue nights, Emery has school on Wednesdays and Max I have (Max and Mommy time) and then we go to church Wed nights, Max has school on Thurs, and Fri is usually some sort of playdate or fun activity to do together, Sat mornings are Soccer games, and then I work Sat and Sun nights...throw in some doc appointments and errands, grocery store, Target, playing outside EVERY afternoon, meals...I think you get the picture....Anyways...that leaves us with the present..
After Max's soccer game on Saturday he wanted to play some baseball. Little did we know that our dear friends and neighbors kids Ella, Ryan and Jacob wanted to join in too!
We had such a GREAT time hanging out and playing outside...even if it was a little chilly!
I was defintely very sad to have to leave my crew and head into work Sat night!! We had so much fun just hanging out and loving on the kids.
The kids and Craig had a wonderful Sunday (while I slept) going to church and visiting with my parents. Then on Monday I got home and took the kids to school...napped...then picked the kids up. We proceeded to play outside until Craig got home. Then we headed to Chick-fil-A for dinner. After we ran and picked up some goodies for Max's pirate pinata for school and then made a bi-monthly Costco run.
Tuesday was pretty low key as well. Emery decided to wake me up at 6:30AM!! She was in her crib calling out to me..."Eat! Eat!" I tried to put her back in the bed with me but she thought that meant it was PLAYTIME!! Oh well...we had some good morning bonding time until Max got up. We took Max to school and then headed back to tidy up the house, do laundry, play and just hangout. While I was vacuuming I put Mickey Mouse on for Em. I came back to find that she had gone and gotten her Minnie and they were watching it together!! So CUTE!! However, it only lasted about 10 minutes. My lil priss doesn't SIT for very long....
Tuesday night I threw together a very easy dinner of Hotdogs and Fries and then we headed out to Max's soccer practice!!
Max's little soccer team. From left to right. Addison, Bryce, Max, Regan, Noah, Lauren, and in the red is Ellie next to her daddy Coach Grant. Keller was the "shark" (he was in charge of getting the ball away from everyone so he was standing across on the other side). The only teammate missing was Graceyn.
The kids had so much fun at practice!! Honestly they always have such a good time. So blessed to have a laid back coach that knows how to teach the basics and have fun with it!!
At the end of practice Coach Grant had the kids huddle up and put all their hands together. He then told them he had decided on a team name...Grant's Goofballs!! He told them to count to 3 and shout Goofballs!! All the kids bust out laughing!! They thought this was so so silly!!
Miss Emery is so into the POTTY right now!! She keeps asking to go pee-pee so we decided to just start sitting on the potty and guess what...SHE WENT PEE-PEE!! I figured it was a total accident but we cheered and got excited and danced around anyways ;) This pic was taken right after bath on Tue night. She won't sit on the little potty. She wants to sit on "Elmo" on the big potty.
On Wed our friends Amy and Cooper invited us over to play some basketball and have a picnic lunch. So we dropped Emery off and school, ran some errands, and then headed over.
The boys had a GREAT time!! They hadn't seen each other in a while so they had to do some catching up. LOL And so did the mommies!! Honestly though we had a great visit. The boys laughed and played hard! They played some basketball, tennis, baseball and even some pool!! Max told me his favorite part was ALL of it!! So sweet!!
When it was time to go (only because I had to get across town to pick up Emery) Max had a mini meltdown because he didn't want to leave. Poor little guy just had so much fun! Totally wasn't surprised when he passed out after about 10 min of driving. I was actually kind of glad he snuck in a little nap since we bypassed our "rest" time to play. After we picked up Emery we played outside till Craig got home. Then I headed to work and the kids and Craig headed to church. It was busy but fun day!!
On Thurs morning my mother-n-law came over to watch Emery while I took Max to school and went to a Mother's Tea with him (more on that later).Afterwards, I came back home to get Emery so we could run a few errands...but not before she had to show Grandmother that she could POTTY! She is really getting this potty thing down! We are by no means anywhere close to being potty trained we are just practicing a few times a day when Emery wants to!
We figured out that Emery LOVES stickers recently so I picked up some for her while running errands. Gotta love the dollar zone at Target. We found some ELMO ones!! Emery sat and did stickers for a bit while I monogrammed a blanket for a friend. Okay actually she only sat for like 5 min and then she started getting into EVERYTHING that she shouldn't....LOL She kept getting into something and telling herself "No..No.." It was quite entertaining!! Not long after it was time to go get Max!! We came home and had naps/rest time. Later, we played outside and had a picnic dinner!!
On Friday (the only day we don't HAVE to be anywhere) we got up and headed to Chick-fil-A for breakfast. Max wanted their tiny cinnamon rolls and I thought it would fun for the kids to play in the indoor playgroud for a while. We had a BLAST!! There was no one there so the kids have free range of the place.
So wish I had a close up of their faces here. They had such a great time playing together I almost wish I could have frozen time for a while.
After Chick-fil-A we headed home to have a playdate with our buddy Davis and his mommy Brandy!! It was such a great visit and I am so glad they came over!! The afternoon was a little crazy as my parents dropped their two shizus dogs over for us to watch for the weekend. I guess the pups got Emery so excited she wouldn't nap so we ended up playing outside until Craig got home. Then we headed over to Grandmother and Granddaddy's house because they were having ALL the grandkids over to watch a movie! So FUN!! We dropped Max and Emery off and went and had a nice dinner at El Patron!! Gotta love a little mommy/daddy time and def a great way to end our day!!

Hilarious!!

Okay...so this is probably totally INAPPROPRIATE to post but I just had to do it!! Can we say BLACKMAIL when Emery gets older...LOL
So last night I went to check on Emery before I went to bed. I didn't turn the light on so I just rubbed my hand down her back to feel that she was okay...however, I felt NAKED skin! I quickly turned on the light and bust out laughing!! Little Miss Priss had taken off her pjs and diaper and gone to bed!! Thankfully there were no accidents in the bed for me to clean up. And I actually put her diaper back on and redressed her without her waking up. But this just shows you this girl keeps us on our toes!! She is ALWAYS doing things that make me laugh!! My guess is she is really getting into the potty training thing lately and she didn't want to go to bed with a wet diaper...oh how I wish I could know what exactly was going through her head....LOL

Star of the Week!

Max was STAR of the week at school last week!! His teachers gave us this poster to fill out and they hang it in the hallway outside the room so that everyone can get to know a few things about Max!!
Max surprised me with his answer to what he likes to eat...he said Fruit Loops! And he wanted me to glue some fruit loops to the page! Ha! I really had no idea this was one of his FAVORITE things to eat!

When I first asked Max what he wanted to be when he grew up he said "Spiderman" I was very surprised as he doesn't even own a spiderman toy let alone EVER talk about Spiderman. I asked him why he wanted to be Spiderman and then he said "No mom that's silly I want to be a basketball player in the NBA...I was just kidding" Seriously...when did my son grow up and start telling jokes!! Ba ha ha ha ha!!
Max wrote his name by himself!! So proud of how well he is doing writing his name!! Thanks to his sweet teachers Ms. Kim and Ms. Dawn!!

On Thursday Max wanted to take cupcakes to share with his friends!! So Wed we made them and Max did the sprinkles all by himself! I think he did a pretty good job if I say so myself!!
He LOVED being the STAR of the week!! He told me his FAVORITE part was being the line leader when they went anywhere!!

And just because I thought this pic was too cute not to share...Wed night Max was sitting on the ottoman watching his show before bed and I told Emery to go and tell bubba night night...instead she crawled up beside him and wanted to watch "T.B. with bubba" It was so cute I couldn't resist letting her sit and watch a little bit with Max. Oh I just love how the two of them are really becoming the BEST of friends!!

Max's 4th Soccer Game!

Craig and I made it back from Hot Springs just in time for Max's game to start!! He didn't want to play at first because he said he was COLD!! And honestly it was FREEZING!! It was in the 50s and the wind was blowing so hard!!
Once he saw us and got lots of hugs and love he warmed up and decided to go out and play!! However, he got kicked in the hand right off and came running off the field crying. I know it hurt pretty bad because his hands were so cold. Noah went in to play for him but it didn't take him long to shake it off. He was ready to PLAY! He told us he was going to score 5 goals since it was our 5th Anniversary!! Such a sweetie!
It didn't take him long to score his first GOAL of the game!! He was so excited he turned around and grinned so big at all of us! We were sitting very close to the goal so we got first row seats to the action!
High FIVES from Coach Grant!!
Max was just so excited he went up and grabbed Keller in a hug!! It was so ADORABLE!! Keller told his mom as he ran off the field "Mom, I am so PROUD of my friend Max! I am so glad we are friends!!" Such a sweet little boy!!
Once Max made that goal he didn't have any problems playing. I don't think he complained about being cold again!
Miss Priss was SO EXCITED to have Mommy and Daddy back!!
The whole gang!! Nana, Pawpaw, Grandmother, and Granddaddy! I was taking the pic and Craig is off to the side. Gotta love some family support!! I know Max loved having them all at his game!!

Max all over that field going after the ball!! He was determined to score again!! The other team was so much bigger but...
That didn't bother Max...I mean seriously check out the size of #8!! Max wasn't scared!! Thata boy!! He almost scored a 2nd time but it was kicked away by the other team.
But later Max got back in there and went after the ball again!!
He took it down and SCORED again!! His 2nd GOAL of the game!! Whoop whoop!!!
He ran back to the line and was telling Noah all about it!! He was so PROUD of himself...as he should be!! I know we were all excited for him!!
Love this pic I captured of Noah in action!! He wanted to score so badly!! I so wished things could have opened up for him to score!! He was SO CLOSE!!
Back to line and growling...ha ha! The boys (Noah and Max) and Graycen were ready to attack!! Ellie was behind them playing around. LOL That is Coach Grant's daughter.
At the end of the game I guess since the other team was older they gave high fives and were saying "Good Game!" Our parents lined up and made a tunnel for all the kids to run through. I think they all liked that a little more!!
Such a FUN game!! So glad we made it back in time to see the whole thing...even if we had to get up in the 4 o clock hour...it was TOTALLY worth it!!
