9 weeks old!

These pictures were actually taken at the beginning of the week. Baby Max isn't really up for pictures today. He ran a low grade temp throughout the night. He slept 7 hrs straight again I couldn't believe it with as much as he slept yesterday....those shots really messed him up! He isn't eating very good but I am sure it will pick back up as soon as he is feeling better! We did get out a little this morning. A friend of mine Samantha and her baby boy Brantley came by to visit. We went on a short walk outside...it was a little warm so we didn't stay out long. I think baby Max enjoyed it...he stayed awake the whole time looking around at the surroundings. I guess this was his first play date!! Oh what fun!! Of course he is back sleeping again...I think this is the third nap of the day. Poor lil Max...I hope he feels better tomorrow!!

He's had a HARD day!!!

Well, we had our 2 month check up today! Baby Max weighed in at 13lbs 10oz and 23 3/4 inches! Our little boy is growing up! Did I say little....ha BIG boy! He was in the 90-95% for weight and 75% for height. Dr. Christion said he looks GREAT! He had a hard day though. His circumcision had grown together on a part and Dr Christion had to separate the skin...not fun for the little man. He cried quite a bit...I couldn't watch. Then to make matters worse he got his immunizations....he got 3 shots and a liquid medicine. Poor little guy...I have never heard him scream like he did. Baby Max never cries really so it was really hard to hear him scream and scream. I picked him up and comforted him as best as I could. He fell asleep in my arms. I felt bad having to put him in his carseat to make the drive home. After we got home he slept for about an hour in my arms. I tried putting him down but he got fussy. He has been sleeping next me on the couch most of the day. He wanted to be close to his mommy so that is what he got. I gave him some Tylenol at the doctors office...he thought that was good stuff...he kept smackin his mouth...too cute...at least he liked one thing today!

I have been sittin here looking at him thinking he is the best thing that has ever happened to Craig and I. I never dreamed I could love this little guy as much as I do. It is an indescribable feeling...if you are a mom or dad you know exactly what I am talking about. I thank God for giving us baby Max to love and take care of...I just hope we can raise him the best way..with God at the center of his life. Okay...sorry for being so emotional...I think it was just watching all he had to go through today...I guess I just wish I could have taken the pain away for him....

Well...on a good note..another milestone has passed...baby Max slept 7 hrs STRAIGHT last night!!! What an amazing accomplishment! He is so wonderful!!! God is GOOD!! He is changing so much everyday! He is laughing, smiling, and cooing a little more. He loves to hear me sing to him. He will laugh and coo when I sing(not because I am a good singer). One of my favorite things he does is he curls his toes up and makes sweet noises while he eats. No one ever told me that the first time your baby recognized you with eye contact and a smile it would just melt your heart. It is like he is telling me I LOVE YOU MOMMY and THANK YOU for taking such good care of me! Plus it makes all those times that you think you just can't do it ALL worth it!!

What a FUN weekend!

What a fun weekend! Great Aunt Cera and cousin Rossi came for a visit! We had a great time together. Rossi chased Gramps and Grandma Maxwell's puppies around while I watched. I think Rossi had a really good time with the puppies! He kept giving them hugs and kisses. So sweet! Rossi wanted to throw toys to me...but we had to tell him I wasn't quite ready for that yet....not too long though!!

8 weeks old!

Baby Max is 8 weeks old today! He is weighin in at 13 1/2 lbs. He seems to be doing more and more each day! His neck muscles are getting stronger. When you put him up at your shoulder he will hold his head up by himself for a few seconds. I think he is so proud of himself too because he will talk and laugh when he is doing it!

Well, last night we got up every 3 hrs...no long stretch of sleep but I know it will happen sooner or later. I am just trying to remember it won't be like this forever...and when he is bigger I will be wishing that I could go back to these sweet times! I am just taking it a day at a time and enjoying every minute I get with my sweet little man.

This picture was taken yesterday...baby Max passed out in my lap. He is starting to talk now. It is so sweet. I love hearing him talk to himself when I leave him in his swing or bouncy seat. He is such a good baby!!! We truly are BLESSED!

We have another new milestone.....BABY MAX SLEPT 6 HOURS STRAIGHT last night! I woke up at 3 and was worried about him....about 15 minutes later he was awake and crying. He was starving of course...I couldn't believe he went 6 hrs without eating! HA!

Baby Max's NEW Trick

So...this is Baby Max's new trick! Last night Craig and I put him in his bouncy seat and he just started kickin away! It was hilarious. He usually only kicks his right leg but he was kickin with both legs. I think he liked that when he kicked it made the toys knock together and it made the bouncy seat rock back and forth. Craig and I couldn't stop laughing. It was just so cute!

Baby Max slept 5 hrs straight again last night and then we got up every 2hrs after that. I am hoping that the 5 hrs starts to become a regular thing. I think he was just worn out from the fun times this weekend....or maybe it was the exercising in the bouncy seat! HA!

This is daddy's little football player!!! GO COWBOYS! The way he has been eating lately I won't be surprised if he does become a football player! He likes to eat every 2 hrs during the day lately, it is wearin me out! It's a good thing he is so cute and sweet or I don't think I could make it! ha ha!

Well, we had a great weekend with family. Baby Max had lots of visitors this weekend. Aunt Cher, Uncle Chuck, and cousins Roxy and Polo came to visit along with his Great Uncle Jimmy, Cheryl, and his 2nd cousin Nicole! Everyone thought he was such a cutie! He had a lot of fun with all his visitors...he didn't want to miss out on anything so he didn't sleep very much. Hopefully he will catch up on some well needed sleep tonight! Thanks everyone for coming to visit!

I'm STARVING!!!

Baby Max has found his hands! He eats them to let me know he is hungry. Man he goes to town on his hands! HA! You would think I was starving the poor boy!

Well, so much for sleeping 5 hrs straight...last night we slept for 4 hrs and then got up about every hour after that!! I am exhausted and we have his newborn pictures today! Imagine that...pictures will be beautiful with bags and all! Oh well...guess it goes with the territory! I am still so grateful for him everyday! I never knew I could LOVE something so little so MUCH!

7 weeks old!

Can you believe this sweet little boy is 7 weeks old! I can't. It makes me sad that the time is going by so fast...but I know there is lots of fun just around the corner! Baby Max is weighing in at 13 lbs!! Everyone we see out asks if he is 3 months old! HA! I say no he is 7 weeks and he is just healthy! Baby Max slept for 5 hrs straight for the first time last night! I couldn't believe it! He is such a good baby! God has really blessed us with such a laid back happy baby!

These pictures were taken tuesday night before we went to church to get our pictures made for the directory. We didn't get a very good family picture but we had fun spending time together! God is GOOD!

6 weeks old!

Max was 6 weeks old Thursday Aug 7. He weighed 12 1/2 pounds! Only gained 1/2 a pound this week. He is starting to smile and laugh some. I don't think he really knows he is doing it yet though. He is talking a little too. He is making really good eye contact with people and he will turn towards you when you call for him!

The past two days and nights have been a little rough. Max is going through his growth spurt so he is waking up about every hour or so and eating and then going back to sleep! He is worn out and Mommy is worn out!!! It is worth it though. He is such a blessing from God! I thank God every day for sending such a sweet little boy for Craig and I to raise for his glory!

Working my neck muscles....

Check out what baby Max can do! He is tryin to hold his head up! He is really workin those neck muscles. I put him on his belly on his playmat and I had to videotape it. I was laughing so hard because he would get his head up and then start sucking on the mat. It was quite funny!! I must say he is such a good baby. It is so much fun to see the little changes each day!

5 weeks old!

I can't believe it! Baby Max is 5 weeks old! He is growing so fast! He is about 12 pounds now and at least 23 inches or more.

He loves to eat! He loves to talk...he is our little grunter. He grunts all the time...even when he is sleeping.
