9 months today!

He was laughing so hard in the picture because I was playing peek a boo with him! SO SWEET!!!

Our sweet lil boy turned 9 months today! He had his 9 month check up today too! He weighed in at 19lbs 13oz and 29 3/4inches! He is 90% in height and 50% in weight! His ears checked out GREAT!!! YEAH!!! No fluid on the ears! It all drained off! WAHOO! What a happy day! MD said that he has been so fussy because he is working on 4 teeth coming in on the top! OUCH! He got one shot today and a finger prick to check his blood. He did pretty good with both!

Wearing mostly 6-12 months clothing and size 3 diapers still. He is wearing 6-12 month shoes but I went today and got him bigger shoes because I think the 6-12 are a little small! I bought a size 4 today but think he might need size 5. Shoes are a hard thing to buy for babies....ugh!!

New things going on with Max:
* Now saying mama, dada, yaya, and baba....and he TALKS ALL the time like his mama!!!

* Making a fake coughing sound (i guess you would call it that! ha!)

* He is cruisin, walking really good holding on to your hands, and of course crawling REALLY fast! I can't believe how fast he can follow me around! He is a speedy lil thing!

* Pretty much only eating table foods...he loves everything so far we have given him...ham, turkey, chicken, turkey hot dogs, hamburger meat, spaghetti, bread, green beans, potatoes, corn, noodles, pears, peaches, cherries, and on and on.....

* I call him my little vulture because he wants WHATEVER you are eating. He will crawl after you for food...ha!!

* He is starting to get shy....when he meets new people he tucks his head into my chest. It is so adorable...I am sure it won't last long if he is anything like his mama.....although if he is more like his daddy....

* He loves to chew on bottles...lotion bottles, coke bottles, you name it...if it is a bottle he freaks out for it! Too funny!

Well, I think that is about all I can think of for now...I will update later if I forgot anything! I am off to bed...been a long week! Happy 9 months sweet lil one!

Didn't get a chance to go back to sewing class but I have been sewing! My friend and neighbor Charity and I have been sewing and she has been graciously letting me use her sewing machine! THANKS FRIEND!!! Anyways, we learned how to do button holes with her machine! YEAH! So, I finished up buttons on Easter outfit, made a brown johnny, and figured out a short pattern. SO MUCH FUN! I just love making these clothes for Max! I know he is going to look adorable in them! Can you believe only 2 sewing classes and you can make stuff like this!

Sayin MAMA!!!

Here is a lil video of our baby saying mama! He is saying it ALL the time now! It is so wonderful to hear! I know he doesn't know that me and the word mama go together but it still touches my heart! I now know what Craig has been feeling like all these weeks hearing his name over and over again by his sweet son! I never knew that such a lil word would mean so much! WOW what a WONDERFUL feeling!!! Thanks Max for being such a blessing in our lives!!!

We went over to Aunt Lulu's and Uncle Gregg's house Friday night for some pizza and fun! We had a wondeful time. Brian and Jodie came with their daughter Natalie, Brad and Cristina came with their daughter Isabella and son Brodie, and of course Linley and Laney were there too! The kids had a great time playing together. It was nice to get everyone together to just hang out! Thanks Gregg and Lulu for opening your house for all of us!

WALKING with the WALKER!

My baby is WALKING with the walker! Craig got to witness it first! He called me into the playroom this morning to show me that our baby boy was taking some of his first steps with the help of his walker! I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT! He is getting so big so fast!!! Here is a quick clip of him taking a few steps. He looks so sweet!

8 1/2 months old!

My lil boy is 8 1/2 months old this week! I just can't believe how fast the time is going! Max is weighing a little over 20 lbs and he is 29 1/2 inches long!

New things:

* pulling up on everything

* crawling really good

*clapping (this is just adorable!)

* trying to stand alone (he can do this for like 1/2 a second and then we go tumbling down!)

* while standing and holding on to something he is letting go with one hand...he is definitely getting stronger

*he walks around holding both of your hands (he is my lil high stepper...he is a little dramatic in his steps...ha!)
* eating lots of different finger foods (he doesn't like baby food all that much anymore...so we are slowly transitioning to finger foods...he only had two teeth so can't transition to fast....

* drinking out of a sippy cup (he has been doing this for a while but he is getting better at it...now if only he would tilt it back...he wants us to hold it for him...)

and DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!

* he is saying MAMA!!! can you believe it! he said it on Tue and then didn't say it again until today! He is saying it ALL the time now! I am so PROUD! I know he doesn't know I am mama yet but we will work on that!

It is truly amazing how he changes daily! He is such a wonderful gift! I just love being his mommy and watching him grow. Somedays I find myself wishing it would all just SLOW down it seems like yesterday I was holding a little baby boy in my arms and now I look up and I have little boy that is about to be walking!!! I just can't believe it!

Playing in the TUB!!

Max has officially outgrown the duck bathtub. I got a bathmat for him and stuck him in the big bathtub last Sat morning. He loves having his freedom in the bathtub. He crawls back and forth and pulls up on the side of the tub. He just laughs and plays the entire time. It is actually hard to bathe him while he is being such a busy little boy! He just loves it though and when we take him out he trys to get back in! So precious!!

Max is pulling up on everything and everyone! He is getting pretty good at it too! I am so proud of my lil guy! We have had a pretty rough and crazy week but he is ALL WORTH IT! It is so fun to watch him changing all the time! Thank you GOD for this sweet lil gift you gave us!

A friend of mine Samantha brought this outfit over the other day and wanted a S monogrammed on the dress and whatever I wanted on the bloomers. I was very nervous because I have never monogrammed on an outfit before but it turned out good! I hope she liked it! I kept thinking if I had a girl she would have to have one of these too!! Thanks Samantha for also supporting my addiction!

Another milestone...

Well, we have reached another milestone....well not sure if you call it that....but anyways, Max now officially has two bottom teeth, so we started brushing our teeth this week. We went to Target and I let Max help pick out his first tooth brush and tooth paste. He looks so cute holding the tooth brush. He actually didn't want to hand over the tooth brush to let me brush his teeth! Silly boy! Guess I am going to have to get another one so he can hold one while I brush! HA! I will post pics of his precious lil teeth later. It is not the easiest picture to get.

My first sewing project almost finished....

Last week it looked like this. I spent 2 hrs learning about patterns, cutting out patterns, pinning, and basic sewing 101. And by the way I sew REALLY SLOW! I am sure I will pick up speed a little as I get better. Now I just need a sewing machine....

This week it looks like this! So adorable! Can't wait to see it on him at Easter! Let's just hope it fits by then!!! This week I learned how to finish up the outfit and whip stitch! So fun!!!

So went to sewing class again last night and finished up Max's Easter outfit. It only lacks button holes and buttons! I put the bunny on there this morning so now I can take the outfit and find just the right buttons! I am pretty proud of myself. I never thought it would turn out this good. I mean if you look really close the seams are not perfect by any means but....I learned alot and it was a ton of fun! I am ready to make more!

Max's first encounter with SNOW!!!

Such a cute lil thing sitting in the snow! I just want to pick him up and squeeze him! Man I love this lil boy!!!

So as many people know we got 6 inches of snow Saturday. It was and still is so beautiful! Saturday I brought a bowl of snow in to Max and let him play in it. It was too cute. He crawled right over and stuck his hand in the snow and was eating it. He made some really funny faces while he was eating it. I will try and post a video of it. For some reason I am having technical difficulties with that video. I did however post pics and a small video of him in the snow on Sunday. He really didn't like it too much. He kept trying to crawl to me and he didn't like his bare hands down in the snow. Guess we will see if he likes it next year! Hopefully we are almost done with this COLD weather!!! Come on spring!!!
