Our first full day at the beach (Sunday June 16th) was also Father's Day!! It was pretty neat to get to spend the day with my Daddy and my husband!! They are two pretty amazing men in my life!! Mom and I were up early getting ready to make their day SPECIAL!! Actually Max and Em got up early too. I think they were pretty excited to get our vacay started!!
We sat out their cards and I brought along the little things the kids made at school and brought home for Father's Day!
All set up for BREAKFAST!!
We had a yummy breakfast of biscuits, eggs, and bacon! It turned out great and the kids really enjoyed helping make breakfast and setting the table for their Pawpaw and Daddy!!
Craig opening his gift from Em!
A cute little magnetic picture frame!
Cards...and Max's little gift.
Inside the car was a little air freshener for his truck!
Pawpaw's turn!! We didn't really bring presents for the guys. We planned on the boys doing a fishing trip but the one they scheduled didn't end up having enough people so they cancelled :( Oh well...now I am coming up with a GREAT little father's day surprise. It will just be a little late ;)
Time to get ready for the BEACH!!
Kids posing with their new sand buckets and beach toys. We usually stay somewhere that has all this stuff. This year we stayed somewhere that didn't so therefore we had to load up on some beach goodies. I found these great buckets full of toys at Costco for $10! Can't beat that and I picked up the red shovel at Target for a few bucks. Kids were PUMPED about their new toys!!
And even MORE pumped to ride the GOLF CART to the beach!! This was a FIRST for the kids and have to say a very FUN first ;)
Ready to ride!! Daddy was our DD for the week! He did a great job driving us back and forth!!
When we got to the beach Em would NOT go in the sand again! She just stood on the boardwalk and screamed for us to hold her. Nana got suckered in and held her at first. Then she finally put Em down...she got over it quickly and ran off to catch up with us!
The water was GORGEOUS!! I just LOVE the BEACH!!! So relaxing and so beautiful!!
These little jellyfish were EVERYWHERE!! Thankfully they were stinging type. We found that out later but didn't seem to worried during the time since they weren't bothering us.
Sweet pic of Pawpaw and Max!!
Loving playing in the SAND!
Seriously so CUTE!!
It wasn't long before the kiddos were asking for a snack..
and it wasn't too much longer before they were asking to go to the POOL! We played at the pool for a while and then headed in for a low key lunch.
After lunch we headed out to run a few errands. We ran to Old Navy to grab some new flip flops for Em. Her foot just suddenly grew again. I got some size 8 flips for the summer and they are too tight. So we went to grab her some size 9s. Then we ran to the Farmers Market for fresh fruit and veggies and Fresh Market for steaks to grill for dinner! Em didn't quite make it. She passed out on the way home. Sweet girl! She isn't much of a napper these days but I guess the beach, pool and sun got the best of her ;)
Back to the house to rest a little before we made a very YUMMY dinner! Once again the kids had fun helping! Had to grab a few cute pics of the kids with Daddy and Pawpaw!!
Enjoying our yummy dinner of steak, salad, corn and bread. Oh and we made brownies for Ice cream brownie sundaes!! Oh yes!! One thing I love about vacay is seriously delicious food because calories don't count while you on vacay! LOL
What a wonderful FIRST day!! Celebrating our men and making family memories!! So BLESSED!!
