Our sweet little princess is ONE!! My oh my how this year has flown by! What a fun filled year of sweet memories we have and we are looking forward to many many more!

Emery you are weighing 19lbs 13 oz (25
th %) and are about 30inches (75%).
You are wearing 12 month stuff mostly but can still wear some 9 month separates and 9 month smocked/dressy stuff.
You are wearing a size 3 shoe and a size 3 diaper!

You are really starting to look and act like a BIG girl! You are just so smart! You pick on things pretty quickly by just
mimicking our actions or words. You are saying a lot of words these days like mama (this is rare but you are saying it..ha ha),
dada,
bubba,
tinky (aka stinky), tank too (thank you),
nana, uh oh, yea, all
da (all done), uh-uh while shaking your head no, and icky icky icky (tickle, tickle, tickle) while you try to tickle us or yourself which is so adorable! You are also doing sign
language for more and all done.

You still LOVE to eat!! Some of your favorites are chicken, turkey, strawberries, grapes, blueberries, cereal, goldfish, veggie straws,
broccoli, bread, cheese (a new favorite),
graham crackers, any crackers really....and on and on...you really love most foods. Some things you don't like are corn, rice,
spaghetti, and green beans. You will throw things off your tray or say uh-uh when we try to give it to you. You have 7 teeth. 4 on top and 3 on the bottom. I think you are working on more teeth as you are drooling a lot these days...

You are doing so WELL with Milk! You are still spitting up/throwing up every now and then so we are going to watch that closely. You are taking one bottle when you wake and one before bed only because you are not that great with your
sippy cup just yet. You like to drink it so fast and then spit most of it back out. We have tried almost every
sippy cup out there but you do the same thing with all of them. So that is the only reason you are still getting 2 bottles. I want to make sure you are getting enough fluid and nutrients! The nurse in me comes out and I kind of freak when you don't have any wet diapers for a while....

Your sleep schedule has changed some. You are waking between 6:30 and 7 and going down for a nap after lunch for about 2-3 hrs. I put you down between 11:30-1pm. It varies on the time you get up. Some mornings you take a cat nap in your
carseat if we are out running errands, especially if you decide to get up before 6:30. Bedtime is the same usually around 8:30. We have really gotten a better bedtime routine going. You love to brush your teeth and read books before bed. And you love to snuggle while we rock you a little while before putting you down. One of Daddy's and my favorite time of the day. Some sweet snuggle time with you baby girl!

It just seems like here recently you started playing on your own. You use to not want to be in a room by yourself but now you are starting to crawl to the playroom to have a little playtime by yourself. You will actually sit and play with your toys for a little while before you are ready for me to hold you or onto something that is not a toy ;) I really can't say that you have any "favorite" toys...you do like ones that light up or make music and ones that you push. But I think mostly you like playing with things that aren't toys.

You are waving hi and bye (been doing this for some time). Sometimes you even wave with both hands which is too cute! You will blow kisses and give kisses but you don't give them out too freely. Usually when we ask you for a kiss you say uh-uh and shake your head. Sometimes you even push us away if we try and kiss you and you don't want us too! You have quite the little attitude (and yes you got that from your momma...I guess I will take responsibility for it....
LOL). You especially have attitude if you don't get your food fast enough or your brother is messing with you too much! And trust me you let everyone know about it!!

You LOVE music and have just recently starting "dancing" all the time when you hear it. You get so excited with any music really. You will get up on your knees, bounce, and clap your hands! It is just the cutest thing because you are all smiles and sometimes get to laughing with it too! You like to sing songs and you are really good about doing "patty cake"! If you are really upset "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star stills seems to calm you down and especially if your
bubba sings it to you. Although, at night when I try to sing "Jesus Love Me" you like to stand in my lap and start "dancing"!! Ha ha!

You are a ball of ENERGY!! You want to go go go all the time. Really the only time you sit for longer than 5
mins is in your
carseat or highchair. And maybe when we are holding you but even holding you are pushing away and trying to get down. You DO NOT like to sit in any cart. You want to stand up the entire time so I have found myself taking the stroller in lately because it makes me a nervous wreck having you stand in the cart!

You are very curious and just plan noisy. You love to get into anything and everything you shouldn't. You especially love to find something like a purse, diaper bag, or drawer and pull everything out. However, you do usually put most of it back in....just not in the order anyone would want it...
LOL
As for walking...not yet. You are cruising the furniture and things but you seem to sit down immediately when you let go of something that is helping you stand. You can walk holding just one of our hands so I think you would be able to walk on your own but again...you like to do things on Emery's timeline and I am totally okay with that :)

Oh..our sweet Emery! You are such a BLESSING to our family and we couldn't imagine life without you. You honestly bring a joy to our family that I just cannot explain! You have the
ability to light up a room and a smile that is so contagious!! I absolutely love your little personality that is shining through for everyone to see and I look forward to
seeing more and more of that as you age! We love you more than you will ever know sweet girl!! Happy ONE year!!! Love, Daddy,
Bubba, and Mommy!
