Ball Pit FUN!

Saturday we just had a laid back day of PLAYING!
Max wanted Emery in the ball pit with him! She didn't last long...I guess she didn't like it because she started screaming shortly after I put her in there!

So then Max recruited Daddy to play in the ball pit with him!

Boys will be boys!

They were having a good ole time wrestling in the balls!

This is probably one of the BEST investments we have ever made! We have had this ball pit for almost 2 years now and it has gotten LOTS of use! Who knew that getting a blow up pool and filling it with balls could be so much FUN!!!

LOVING some Squash!

Oh my goodness!! We finally found something that Emery LIKES!!!!
SQUASH!!!

This is the first food that she has eaten without it being mixed with cereal! Of course it could be that she finally "gets it" too! My lil girl is growing up TOO FAST!!

24 weeks!

I know I know she is ADORABLE!!! I just love those chubby lil cheeks! Emery turned 24 weeks yesterday! Where oh where has the time gone?!
Max and Emery LOVE to play together....we shall see in about 3 months when Emery can actually take the toy away from Max if Max likes to play with her anymore...LOL

She was trying so hard to get that little monkey! What is it about baby toys that even a 2 1/2 year old will play with them! Ha!

We took our infamous "chair" pics and she was being a little ham!!

She is all about sticking her tongue out ALL the time these days! At first I was a little worried about it but now I realize she is just learning about her world around her with her tongue!

I think her shirt says it all! She is going to def be a little heart breaker one day!

Emery is also LOVING her some toes these days!! If her fingers aren't in her mouth she is trying to get her toes in there.....if only her legs weren't so chunky maybe she could have them in her mouth more....ha ha!

I can honestly say things are getting to be SO FUN around here! We are def getting into some kind of routine everyday...I think now that I have accepted that everyday is not going to go as planned or be a good day for that matter...it has helped me cope better! I am still just taking it a day at a time but it defitlently seems like I am enjoying my days more than not! God is so GOOD!

Valentine's Party!

What a FUN morning we had at our Sunday School class's kids Valentine's Party! So we didn't actually find out about it until yesterday afternoon so we made a stop by Kroger this morning to grab some Valentines and some fruit! And of course they had some AWESOME Basketball Valentines that Max was super excited about!! Ha ha!

There was quite a bunch of kids! It was a little chaotic but so much FUN!
Our friend Missy hosted it at her house and she had little bags for the kids to decorate and some coloring sheets! So cute!

Max didn't want to share his stickers with his buddy Davis....I just LOVE Davis's expression when Max pulled the stickers away, cracks me up! (don't worry I made Max share)

This is Max's first year to really understand Valentine's day and get to exchange cards and candy! I am not so sure he gets it just yet though....maybe next year....

What a LOOK! He was a little overwhelmed with all the adults and kids. He actually clung to my side most of the time we were there. I guess we need to get out more! And he also needs a haircut bad!! I didn't realize until I was looking at these pics! LOL

All the kiddos bags!! I actually dropped the Valentine's in because Max said he didn't want to share his Valentine fruit snacks he brought for his friends....I mean we are only 2 and a half....some days he loves to share and other days....not so much.....
And let us not forget lil Emery! She was there too! I was holding her the majority of the time as she didn't want to be put down. Thanks to all those that helped hold her today! Don't know what I would do some days without good ole friends to help out!!

Some super cute napkins!

We had quite the spread of food!

Let's just say no one went home hungry!

All the boys seemed to eat first....guess all the girls were too busy talking like their mommies! HA!

As soon as we got home Max was ready to check out his goodies!

He started to just look through it and then he went over to the ottoman and dumped it out! That's my boy!

He got lots of cute Valentine's and some yummy candy too!

Thanks Missy for hosting the party! We really had a great time getting to see everyone and hang out for a while!

PURE Sweetness!!!

First, I need to point out that on Tuesday of this week I had BOTH of my kids ASLEEP at the SAME TIME!! So I guess this post is a little bit of sweetness and a little bit of success!! LOL

I went in to take a picture of the kiddos because it is very RARE that they are actually sleeping at the same time (I wanted to document history...ha ha) Anyways, after taking the pics I realized that they were both sleeping the same way! How precious is that!! Gotta LOVE some sleeping babies!!! I don't think there is anything more SWEET!!

Plus, I was a very "happy" mommy after getting a little bit of "me" time! God is so GOOD!!! He definitely knows when I need this little bit of break time....even if it was for only 30 minutes!

My FIRST Veggie!!

Emery had her first VEGGIE....GREEN BEANS!! This past Sunday night (notice I am behind on posting....guess that new years resolution to stay up on my blogging isn't going as well as planned) at my parents house. I gave her those before I headed into work!

As you can tell she wasn't quite sure about them either....

This girl just CRACKS me up with her facial expression....I am told she gets all her "many faces" from me....LOL

She seemed to like them once I mixed them with her rice cereal. Guess I will just mix everything from here on out....

Week 23 with Emery!

All bundled up to go run errands with Mommy and Max! What a week this has been!

Little Miss Emery turned 23 weeks this past Friday! I just LOVE that Max is really starting to PLAY with Emery! I found him playing peek-a-boo with her the other day and it made me tear up! Max is such a great BIG brother to her! He really does LOVE her and she ADORES him! Max tells everyone that she is "my baby sister!"

The only bad things lately has been Max is overly frustrated with Emery crying all the time and he actually threw a toy at her this week and told her to stop crying! We had a "come to Jesus moment" and I hope things are better this week! We had to talk about the fact that Emery doesn't talk and that is how she communicates to us when she needs something....I think Max gets it but only time will tell!

She is such a happy happy girl when you are giving her all the attention! She is hamming it up for the camera! She is all about her tongue lately! It seems she is sticking it out to lick whatever toy she is playing with or even her clothes! Too funny!

This pic below cracks me up....she is looking at me like okay mom seriously you can STOP taking pictures now....ha ha ha! All laid back....

I can say we had a few BAD moments this week but we are having more GOOD ones than bad lately. I think a lot of me is just so thankful for 2 HEALTHY children that I feel like I shouldn't be complaining about the everyday battles with 2 kids. I really am trying to FOCUS on the good and reality that every stage is just for a short time! I am going to blink and my babies won't need me anymore....tear....tear.....

Since Emery is finally getting somewhat of a schedule....Max and I usually have Max and Mommy time during Emery's morning nap. It is usually only about 30 to 45 min but it is enough time to have some good one on one time! Here is Max painting! He wanted to paint with his "paborite" (favorite) color...which is BLUE!!

Now to see what next week holds......

Peaches are YUCKY!!

I tried Peaches with Emery the other night and she just wasn't so sure about them....
They actually made her gag a little at first.....

This girl has some funny faces!!! We were all cracking up at her trying to eat them!

She actually ate them once I mixed them with some of her cereal! I am wondering if she is going to be a picky eater like her brother.....let's hope not!
