Making School Valentines..

First..I have to BRAG on Max's new teachers!! They sent home these little stickers of all the kids in the class. His teachers wanted the kids to be able to hand out their own Valentines and since most of them wouldn't recognize their friends name they did these little sticker pictures! I personally LOVE the idea!!!

Max's picture CRACKS me up...in his defense they took the pictures on his FIRST day of school ;)
On Monday night we laid all the Valentines out and I let Max pick which one he wanted to give to all his classmates. He was very serious about this part and I was pleasantly surprised that he actually knew about 5 friends in his class. For only going three days I thought that was pretty good!

He then picked out the matching tattoo for each Valentine and sealed them up with a heart sticker!

Max insisted on making one for himself too. LOL

A little treat for his friends too!

I had a lot of fun doing this with Max this year. He really got into putting together his Valentines for his classmates!! Now maybe next year we will try and be a little more creative ;)

Valentine Monday...

Sadly...I did not get creative at all this Valentine's. I took the kids to the store last week and let them pick out some valentines. Max of course picked out the sports ones....anything with BASKETBALL and Emery wanted the princesses!

So when I got home Monday morning I got the kids ready for school. This was my first Monday to take them to different schools. Luckily Max's start time is 9 and Emery's is 9:30.
I totally forgot that Emery had her Valentine's Party today so I ran by the store and got fruit before coming home. For whatever reason I thought her party was Wednesday. I even had to get her valentine's together. A big Oops!

Some fruit snacks to share with her friends!

And a few traditional "chair" pictures before she went off to school....just in case her Valentine's shirt came back all stained up.

Our little ball of ENERGY!!! Man I just love that big sweet smile!! So wish she would have left a bow in for the pics...she kept throwing it off and saying "No, mommy!" Silly girl!

After I got a little rest...I went to pick up the kids. I got Max first since he doesn't usually nap anyways. Then we went to get Em. She was PASSED out still when we got there. Ms. Allison and Ms. Renee said they had such a fun day!! They said she played hard and had a super fun time with the party! Max was a little jealous that Emery was hada party but Emery was quick to share her goodies with him.

Her favorite thing was the butterfly valentine from Maggie....or maybe just the fact that it had a sucker with it ;)

Her FIRST sweet little Valentines!

Loving that sucker!!!

And sharing with her brother!! Such a sweet little thing!

More sharing....

Which lead to tears when Max decided to try and hold it by himself. Ha! No worries she quickly got it back and was tear free!

Then it was BATHTIME as she was a super sticky mess!!!

I decided to give her her FIRST bubble bath since I figured it was just going to be a quick bath. However, she was NOT to fond of the bubbles. She didn't like how they were all staying on her.

So needless to say it was a QUICK bath!! Oh well...maybe we will try the bubble bath another time down the road. All in all it was a very good Monday!! Max had another GREAT day at school!! Just can't believe how well he is transitioning into his new school!!! Makes me so HAPPY!

Working on our letters...

Max hasn't really learned how to write his letters yet...nor has he shown much interest in writing. He tells me that writing letters is TOO hard and he just doesn't want to do it. Well, Thursday when I picked him up at school the teacher informed me that Max didn't want to write letters during class. Ms Kim asked him what would help him to write his letters and he said "well, maybe a blue marker" LOL She said she had given him a purple one so once she switched the markers out he wrote his letters with her help.

Anyways...they sent a worksheet home for Max to practice. We did some crafts and then leaded into working on our letters this morning. Emery and I got excited everytime Max wrote one. So we basically just cheered him on through the worksheet. (and just for all of you out there that is looking at how Max is holding the marker...I know...I know...we need to work on that too)
He ended up doing a pretty good job. He even threw an A in there (oops!) which I had no idea he knew how to draw! Way to go Max!!

Emery was coloring in a colorwonder book. She LOVED it!!

I guess I haven't really done much in the way of crafts and coloring with her just yet. Now to go buy some girly coloring stuff ;)

Just having a little fun on a Saturday morning. Thinking of planning some structured craft time during the week with the kiddos now that Emery is bigger and actually seems interested! Fun times!!!

The last few days...

Been a fun and busy last few days.....

On Wednesday night we had 4 extra kiddos (The Duffy kids Maggie, Ella Kate, Noah, and Eli) because their mommy (Candice) went to the Kidstown to do some shopping. We had a AWESOME time with her wonderful kids. We made cookies, had a pizza party, and played hard!!

Max and Noah LOVED the basketball plates that Candice brought for the pizza party!! Thanks Candice they were definitely a hit!!

On Thursday...the kids decided to get up early around 7. We had a yummy breakfast of waffles and fruit And then Max decided he wanted a small bowl of cereal and therefore Emery did too!

Emery even wanted milk in her bowl just like bubba too! She actually did surprisingly well with the bowl of cereal and spoon! Yay!! Notice below...Max acting super silly for a pic ;)Thursday....Emery and I didn't do much after we dropped Max off at school. We ran a few errands and then came home to play. She wasn't really feeling that great because she is teething and getting a cold. So she was slightly fussy the rest of the afternoon. Poor baby :(

Just for a little funny....for lunch on Thursday I asked Max what he wanted. He told me he wanted a peanut butter sandwich in the shape of a cow! I quickly asked him a cow? Why do you want a cow? He said because mom that is my favorite...seriously....when did a cow become my son's favorite....LOL (oh another great thing about Max's new school...it's NOT peanut free!!! Wahoo! Max can actually take a sandwich to school instead of muffins, waffles, poptarts, or a cereal bar)

Thursday was HAT day at school....Max wanted me to take his picture before he went in. He wouldn't smile because he was acting so SILLY! He actually wore his hat the ENTIRE day! Except the teacher told me she had to commend me because he was the only one in his class that took his hat off when they said the blessing. Talk about a PROUD momma moment :) Oh and another sweet thing today was that he ran right into his classroom this morning and when I picked him up I asked him how his day was...he said "I just LOVED it!" Oh how that made me such a HAPPY girl!!! So blessed that just the second day of school and he is already LOVING it!!! God is soooo GOOD!

On Friday...we took it VERY SLOW in the am as this was our first morning of the week we didn't have to be anywhere at a certain time. The kids crawled up in the bed with me for a little bit. Love this cute pic of my babies snuggled up together.
We finally got up and moving and got ready to meet our friends Amy and Cooper at Chuckie Cheese!!!
Max and Cooper had a BLAST playing together. We haven't seen them in over a month!
Probably the boys favorite game together was the football. They were pretty good at it too!
Emery still wasn't too fond of the place. She seemed overwhelmed and slightly scared of a lot of it. Of course it didn't help that she still wasn't feeling so great. I ended up holding her quite a bit at first. Then she warmed up and tried to snatch peoples tickets. LOL
The boys racing each other. It was so funny because the cars weren't even really moving as the boys couldn't reach the gas pedals to make them go.
After Chuckie Cheese and play time with Cooper at our house...Emery PASSED out!! Thought it was funny how she fell asleep on top of all her "stuff". And I am sure you will notice she doesn't have her boot on...I am a sucker! On the way home from Chuckie Cheese Emery said "Mommy, off...peas..." and kept hitting her boot. It had to be the cutest thing ever so I took her boot off as soon as we got home. Like I said....I am a sucker!!
Nothing much to talk about for the weekend. We honestly didn't do much of anything. Now to get ready for Valentine's Day....

Max and Mommy Day!

One FUN thing about switching Max's schools is that he goes Mon, Tue, and Thur now and Emery goes Mon and Wed which leaves Wednesdays for Max and Mommy Days!!! Yay!!

I let Max pick what we were going to do this past Wednesday and he wanted to go BOWLING!!!

We dropped Emery off, ran to the dentist to have my implant site looked at, and then off to the bowling alley in Bartlett. Max and I had a GREAT time just hanging out and playing together! He was so EXCITED to have some one on one time with me.
He was quite the little bowler. Max actually bowled by himself this time instead of using the little ramp thing. The only downfall to not using it was that he stepped over the line a few times and got a big fat F which made him very sad....notice the pic below walking back to me a little upset that he got buzzed at :(

Can't believe how BIG he is getting....somebody STOP the clock please!!!

If you look close he did really good on the second game we played! And he made all of those points by just rolling the ball by himself! Got 2 spares!! Which of course we had to scream, shout and give HIGH FIVES for!!!

I am pretty sure Max and I are going to LOVE our Max and Mommy Wednesdays each week. Looking forward to more fun next week!
