Cookies for Santa!

Christmas Eve night we spent over at my parents house hanging out with my brother, Darren, and my parents! We of course made "cookies for Santa" over at their house! This year I just bought those new pillsbury cake cookies and icing in the can! Max had a BLAST squirting the icing on the cookies and then POURING tons of sprinkles all over the cookies!
Max really seemed to spend some time caking on the sprinkles!!

Look how BEAUTIFUL!!!

When we got home we got out Santa's plate and Max wrote on it what he wanted Santa to leave him under the tree!

Then when it came time to leave the cookies he made for Santa out Max decided he wanted to eat them. Uh oh....but after alot of "talking" (and crying due to be totally exhausted) we decided to leave Santa 2 of the 3 cookies and Max could have the other one the next day! Whew....that was a close one!

Then we read the traditional "Twas the Night Before Christmas" book! I wish I would have been in my pjs like we usually do but Max was so tired we were trying to get him into bed as quick as possible!

I love this picture because Max is doing the same thing as me! So cute! Here we were saying "Now Dasher, now Prancer....."

And the Cookies are waiting for Santa......

We had such a WONDERFUL Christmas Eve! I am so sad it went by so FAST!!!

Christmas Eve with the Lawsons!

We got over the Lawsons family Christmas gathering at noon on Christmas Eve. We had the traditional "lunch" foods and enjoyed spending time together with the fam!
Some of the cousins gathered around talking to Emery!! (the last Lawson baby unless of course God has other plans...)

After lunch the kids all gathered around listening to Granddaddy Lawson read the Christmas Story! The kids did so well this year listening!

Maybe because I gave them all candy canes first....ha!

And then it was time to open presents!!!!

Max got the Little Tikes grill and food set! He was so excited! The only bad part was that all the pieces were NOT in the box so we could not put it together! What a disappointment!! I had Craig let me run into ToysRus that afternoon and I found one hiding in the baby section! I was so excited because I really didn't think we would find one the day before Christmas! It was however marked up $10 bucks more than the original cost! How jacked is that!!! No worries though I purchased it and returned the one with missing parts with the more expensive receipt!

But not as excited as he was when he opened his ornament from Granddaddy and Grandmother!! It was of course a basketball and basketball hoop ornament!! Max screamed "OH MY GOODNESS!!" It was quite a funny reaction!! Such a silly little boy!

After presents we sang "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS!!" and of course had some yummy bday cake!

Emery was asleep during the present opening so we opened hers when she woke up!

Not sure why this pic is sideways but not going to change it....sorry! Emery got clothes and a little tea pot set!

On the way to my parents house both the babies fell asleep!! Notice what Max is holding onto...his ornament! So sweet!

We had a wonderful time with the Lawson bunch eating, playing, and celebrating the birth of Jesus! We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such awesome family!

Christmas Eve Morning!

We started the tradition of Max getting new pjs from the "Christmas Elves" on Christmas Eve morning his first Christmas but.... this year we added a game and a movie! Thought it would be nice to have a game, a movie, and cute pjs for Christmas Eve!!
Max was SUPER excited about a Mickey Mouse Movie!!!

He was also EXCITED about "his game" (that is what he kept calling it all day). I think he has played with this game (of course by his own rules) almost as much as he has played basketball!!! I know most of you can't believe that....LOL!

We had a great Christmas Eve morning just hanging out as a family of 4 this year! Then we headed to the Lawson's house for some Christmas fun!

Santa Baby!

How cute is this lil santa baby!! Don't you just want to eat her all up!!!
While trying to get some cute diaper pics of her in her Santa hat....Miss Emery found her toes!! I just love this pic!!

Now that is one lil chunky baby!!! HA!

This one cracks me up because she looks like she is stuffed! LOL!

Just thought these were TOO CUTE not to post!! Enjoy!!

Pictures with Santa!!

We got our pics with the Santa in Collierville this past Thursday! I was so proud of Max for sitting on Santa's lap!! This is our official Santa picture!!! I just LOVE the expression on Max's face! Just classic!! LOL

Since I bought some picture they let you take some with your camera too! I love going out to the Collierville to see Santa because there are NO LINES and everyone in the place is super sweet! They even waited for Max to warm up a little to Santa so that he actually took a picture with him!

My sweet little muchkins!!!

Emery's first picture with Santa! She could have cared less!!! Ha..ha...

If you look close Santa is holding a cup of tokens to Chuckie Cheese!! Now you know the secret of how we got Max to sit in Santa's lap! We told Max if he would sit with Santa that Santa would give him tokens to go to Chuckie Cheese afterwards! It worked like a charm!!! Bribery works well with this age...does that make me a bad parent?!

Getting his tokens...

Thought this was a cute pic of Max acting silly sitting in Daddy's lap! I was sitting over to the side feeding Emery!

We had such a wonderful family day!! It was nice to have Daddy home all day! We had pictures taken at Portrait Innovations today too (will post pics soon) we had a few family pics, a few of the kids together, and Emery's 3 month. I didn't get as many as I would have liked because our photographer wasn't the best :( Oh well...hopefully Emery's 6 month pics will be better!

Emery is 16 weeks!

Miss Emery is 16 weeks!!!
We are starting to see some of her little personality! She is a smiley baby when she is happy but her happiness periods don't last as long as I would like them too....She is really rolling side to side but she hasn't mastered rolling from her back to her tummy just yet. I don't think it will be long though!

We are starting to have the long fussy periods at night again :( Boo hoo hoo!!! I thought all of this colic stuff was suppose to go away around 3 months.....guess not!! Emery actually slept in her bed after screaming for 2 hours Tuesday night. She slept on her tummy from 9pm to 6am without a peep!! I was so PROUD and for the first time in a LONG time I felt rested! However, she hasn't really slept in her bed since that night!? What the heck!? She has been waking up like ever 10-20min in her bed and screaming. We have tried the whole letting her scream it out and it doesn't work. She will scream forever!! I am wondering if something isn't going on with her ears maybe because she is just extremely fussy this week :(

I know I look like a cruel mother for posting this pic above but I am not sure why she started crying because she was very happy for the most part when I was taking her pictures on Friday! Don't worry I snapped a shot and quickly picked her up!
Emery is EATING ALL THE TIME!! She is taking 5oz bottles every 3 hrs during the day and sometimes still takes a middle of the night bottle. I think I may start cereal earlier than I did with Max because this girl can EAT!! LOL
Emery is really LOOKING at you now! I am so glad that her eyes are developing the way they should now. I told Craig that I think Emery is going to do everything on HER schedule instead of when we all would like her too....ha ha! (I know a lot of you are thinking aren't MOST girls like that....ha ha)

Emery is really sitting up good these days too! I sat her by the tree so she could look at it....I think I sat her a little too close since she is almost cross eyed in this pic....oops!

We are still "adjusting" to the life of having 2 kids...just when I think I can do this or I can handle this I get thrown a curve ball and feel like it is all falling apart again. I am praying that maybe after the craziness of the holidays are gone maybe, just maybe I will get better at this being a mom of 2 :) I don't want to rush Christmas because I LOVE this time of year but I just feel that maybe the added stress of the holidays this year is too much for me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my family and just feel like right now I am not being the BEST wife, mother, or sister, daughter, friend that I could be and I am SORRY for that!!
