Emery's FiRsT Birthday Party!!! (part3)

And lastly, Cake Time!!

Emery wasn't as in to it as I thought she was going to be! She was very cautious and wanted to lick all the icing off her hands!

She was thoroughly ticked when I tried to put the party hat on...but she did leave it on for a while! Guess the cake was a distraction enough!

Everyone was gathered around watching for quite some time. She ate the top two strawberries off the top that were made of fondant. I pretty sure she thought she was getting something really good the way she was chowing down on them!

She did a little damage...but was just so slow at eating it...so I walked around and got a few pics

She was cracking up squeezing the icing through her hands!

I would say she put a little dent in her smash cake!

And then it was time for bath...

This girl LOVES some bathtime!!

Shortly after bath most of our sweet guest left so we tried to get a few family pics...

Thank goodness Uncle Michael came to the rescue! He was doing all sorts of silly things to the photographer (aka Nana) and was making us all laugh!

Check out those rosy cheeks! The dye from the icing tore her little face up! Poor baby and her super sensitive skin!

Didn't bother her too much because she was getting her play on with her FAVORITE new toy!!!

Pretty sure this was a winner for her present! So glad we found one for her!

Miss Emery Kate you are such a lil blessing!! We LOVED sharing this very special FIRST birthday party with you! Mommy, Daddy, and Max (and I am sure the rest of the family) look forward to sharing many many more with you!! We love you sweetheart!!

Oh and before I forget a BIG Thanks to the family and friends that came out to celebrate!! It was so wonderful to be surrounded by family and friends that love our sweet baby girl like we do! God is so GOOD!

Max's August Crafts from School!

Thought it would be fun to keep up with Max's crafts each month. I also thought it would be better to only keep a few "special" ones and just take pictures of the rest so one day Max can see all the cute things he made! We missed the second week of school as we were at the beach so there are only a few things that he made this month.

This was actually from his first day of school and Max told me he helped trace the letters of his name! I also think he did a pretty good job coloring in the lines for a 3 yr old.

I only posted this coloring sheet because if given the choice he ALWAYS picks the color blue to color with. Literally, every coloring sheet/craft that we get from church Max has colored or painted all over it with the color blue!

Max's teacher told me the "icing" is actually shaving cream that they mixed with glue and food coloring! How creative is that! I must say I want to try this very soon!!

Even though Max is telling me he doesn't "like" school he is having fun doing some super cute crafts!! I look forward to more this month!!

Wrestle Mania!!

This morning was a rare occasion where Max was up before his sister. He went in with me when Emery woke and he wanted to get in the crib with her. At first they were being sweet and loving on each other. Then they started play fighting over the glow seahorse.

It was so cute and sweet. Emery was really trying to give Max a run for his money!
And Max was LOVING that his sister was "wrestling" with him!

Max threw the smack down on her though (no worries this was very gentle as it was supervised)! Both kids were laughing and having so much fun together!

Love how they are looking so mean at each other! I am not even sure why they were doing that! LOL

Max was ready for "ROUND 2"!!!

Emery on the other hand was ready to get out and have some breakfast!!

Crib Guard and Lovies...

Wish I would have had this from the beginning....

So my little beaver (aka Emery) has been chewing the heck out of her crib. I have been looking for something to cover the rail but haven't been successful as the crib rail is rather thick.
I went to Babytime and they said they use to carry one but stopped. The sweet lady helped me out and found some sticky stuff that I could order to put on the crib...umm well I was thinking that Emery could pull that off and eat it....soooo I found this sweet thing on Amazon!! It is really thick and there is NO way her teeth can get through it!!

I love this pic because I was telling Emery this guard is so you can't bite your crib anymore...she started getting upset and pointing to her mouth. I think I got me a little smarty pants!

I also found another one of these on Amazon...I don't know if I have verbally told anyone this but I LOVE me some Amazon!!

This little lovie has become an obsession around here so I thought I should try and find another one before I can't (hence Max and his one "b"). My mom got it at Strasburg kids before Em was born so we thought we could just go back there and get another one. Well, now they are carrying a pink pig...not a lamb...but no worries because Amazon came through for me!!

My little smarty pants could tell the difference in the two. She quickly threw the new one over the edge and was shaking her head and telling me "Uh A"...LOL And "Uh oh"....quite the lil stinker these days!! But oh so much FUN!
