SandDestin BOUND!!

Can I get a whoop whoop!! So excited to say we are heading to SANDDESTIN!! A much needed family trip to the beach!! God is so GOOD!!!

We actually left Friday Aug 12th and drove about halfway so that the kids weren't just out of control when we got there. Emery is not too found of car riding so we were worried how 8 hrs of driving was going to go. We also weren't sure how a newly potty trained Max would do either...LOL
Well, the kids did GREAT!! We did a little reading, playing, eating....

Movie watching...Emery's new favorite is the Cedarmont Kids (it is a dvd of kids singing christian songs). She is honestly mesmerized with it and loves to dance along with the kids!! I must get MORE!!! I can't really get her into watching much else...

Max was watching some Dora here but he will watch most things these days. He really likes the Cedarmont Kids, Wow Wow Wubbzy, Bubble Guppies, Super Why, and Leap Frog Letter Factory.

We also did some Ipadding....LOL Little Emery loves it too!! This is Alphababy App. She LOVES this app and it teaches her shapes, letters, colors, and numbers!!

Max's favorite things to do on the Ipad are puzzles, sports, and any learning game. He LOVE LOVE LOVES to learn new things!! Such a smart one!!

On Sat neither one of them napped and we got up at the crack of dawn thanks to little miss priss....so we made it to Destin went to lunch and shopped the outlet malls while we waited to get in our house. When we got back in the truck to drive to the house both kids PASSED OUT!!

The outlet to the house was less than 5 minutes!! You know you got some T-I-R-E-D kids when it takes them less than 5 min to fall asleep in a carseat with me sitting between them!!

I got Max out and put him in his bed for the week. He didn't even budge....

and neither did Emery! It was nice to have them sleeping while we unloaded the cars!! (I know it is time to get Emery a new carseat...I am just in denial that she isn't an infant anymore...LOL)

Soo sooo excited to be at the BEACH!! We are truly blessed to be able to spend some quality time together as a family for an entire week!!! So much FUN!!!

Poo poo in the potty!!

Well...MAX DID IT!! He poo pooed in the potty 5 days in a row (well, actually 6 but one of those days was a simi accident so we didn't count that one)!! So...since he got 5 stickers he got to get the Cars shake and go race track he had been wanting!!

He did it the first time this past Sundaywhile I was sleeping. Craig waited to tell me when they to home from his parents! I honeslty was so SHOCKED!! I really thought the pooping thing was going to take some work. I think after the yucky accident he had and me throwing his boxers out made him decide to go in the potty!! Can't believe how BIG he is getting....tear tear....
So we took him to ToysRus (as we were heading out to make our long drive to the beach) and told him he could get something else if he wanted. NOPE he wanted the race track! He quickly found it and got SUPER EXCITED!!

He kept saying "I get it Momma?!" Of course this is a rather expensive present for just going poo-poo but we figure who cares!! NO MORE DIAPERS and best of ALL NO CLEANING UP POO from a 3 year old...ha ha!!

He did so good waiting until we stopped for the night to play with it. We did get the cars out so he could at least play with those some!! It really is a fun little toy! I would recommend it to those looking for a cute gift for boys!

Such a PROUD moment for a mommy and daddy! Max is getting to be such a BIG boy!! Can't believe potty training was so easy once he decided HE wanted to do it. We LOVE you and are SO SO PROUD of you sweet Max!!!

FIRST day of 3 year old school!

Max had his FIRST day of 3 year old school yesterday! He wasn't too excited about going because he told me didn't like his teachers! LOL He doesn't even really KNOW his teachers yet! We did go to an open house last Thursday night where he got to meet one of his teachers Mrs. Shana and check out his new room. He didn't want to go to that either but he did just fine once we got there.

His other teacher Mrs. Terri was the librarian last year so he is already familiar with her as they went to library once a week. Although he still told me he didn't know her...3 year olds?! LOL
When we got to school Max ran straight to his old room with Mrs. Fannie! He wanted to share his good news that he is completely POTTY TRAINED!!! Pee and poop!! Wahoo!! Mrs. Fannie was so excited for him and she asked him if he was wearing underwear. He was quick to correct her....umm..."No, BOXERS!! You wanna see?!" LOL

When we got to his new room he went right in with NO TEARS (thank you Lord)! I pray that Wed is the same way. I have a feeling that it may not as he has been telling me he doesn't like school. However, when I picked him up Monday he was passed out napping! He barely naps at home anymore so I know that he must have had a FUN FILLED day!! Mrs. Terri told me he went potty all day and didn't have any problems! I was so proud of Max because I was worried he wasn't going to potty for his new teachers! It really makes me happy and less stressed knowing he feels comfortable in his new class!! Looking forward to a GREAT year!! Can't wait to see all the things he makes and the new things he learns!!

Somebody is WALKING with the walker!!

So I got the little walker down today and gave it to Emery! She TOOK OFF walking!!! I couldn't believe it!! I had NO IDEA she could do this!

I mean she hasn't really been cruising the furniture or anything. She has been pulling up on everything and every once and a while she would walk holding your hands but she was never very sturdy!
Well, today she was full force ahead! She was having such a ball with it! She LOVED being able to walk all around the house with it!

I mean the faces this girl can make.....

All smiles!! You would never know that she was EXTREMELY fussy all day yesterday!!

Oh I could just EAT her up!!! It is so nice to finally have my HAPPY HAPPY girl back!

Thank you LORD for blessing our family with this sweet little girl!!

Oh...sometimes I just can't get enough of her!! I LOVE her to pieces!!!

Emery got TUBES!!

We left the house at 6:20 this morning to head to LeBoheur Surgery Center!! Nana met us there to check on baby girl and to help out with Max since he wanted to go with us. We were suppose to be there at 6:45. Emery was the first PE tube case for Dr. Naidu so things went pretty smooth the entire time.

The nurse came in to get her blood pressure and Emery did SO WELL! I was quite impressed that she didn't scream the entire time!

We stopped in the "bunny tunnel" and grabbed a toy before she headed off to surgery. Emery really didn't care about any of them. I showed her a little baby doll and she started smiling at it so we grabbed that for her.

And off she went...she didn't start crying till a few minutes after they went back :( I wanted to go back and grab her!

It only took like 20 min tops and we had our little girl back in our arms! She was SCREAMING when she came back to recovery. They quickly came and got us and told us that she wanted her momma! I held her for a while and feed her some then gave Daddy the chance to give her some loving too!

Craig and Nana headed back to work while the kids and I headed home. Emery fell fast asleep in the car on the way home. Unfortunately she woke as we got home. She seemed pretty happy and ready to eat breakfast. Except after she was done eating....

This is what she did for HOURS!!! Dumb anesthesia!! The doc said she would probably take a 2-4hr nap. NOT EMERY! She took a 15min nap on the way home and then I finally got her to sleep in my arms for like 30 min. She wold have slept longer but her sweet little brother starting screaming because I wouldn't get up and play with him! FUN TIMES!! It was an extremely LONG day because Max was exhausted too so he wasn't in the best of moods. There were lots of tears from Emery, Max and Me :( but we made it through. I just told Craig that NEVER again was he allowed to leave me when one of the kids had ANYTHING done! LOL

Just a little everyday joy in the life of Emery!!

Wearing UNDERWEAR!!!

It really didn't take to long to get this boy wearing underwear!! And since he was so good at going pee pee in the potty ALL day with NO ACCIDENTS he got to pick out any toy he wanted!!

He of course wanted a POOL TABLE!! Got this cute little thing at Tuesday Morning for a mere $6.99!! What a steal!!
On Monday...we did a little shopping and picked up these cute little undies! It actually happened because he noticed the pull-up box had a baby on it. He told me he didn't want to wear "baby" diapers! I immediately told him that is what the pull-ups are...so he decided right then and there he was DONE with "baby" diapers because he was a BIG boy and he wanted to wear UNDERWEAR!! He was yelling out loud in Walmart "Babies wear pullups and Big Boys wear UNDERWEAR!"
It was quite funny and embarrassing all at the same time!!! LOL
When we got home he didn't want to wait for me to wash them! He immediately slipped on a pair and was running all around the house!! He kept saying "Look at me, I am a BIG boy!" and "Emery look this is what BIG boys wear!" He immediately explained to Emery about how when she gets BIG one day she will get to wear big girl underwear. It was quite a precious little convo he was having with his sister!! Sometimes he just amazes me how sweet he can be to her....

Max was quite the little riot modeling his NEW underwear!! He kept trying to point to the basketball on the back side. I got some of the funniest pics but wasn't sure if they were really for the blog and the whole world :) I am sure to use them as blackmail with his future girlfriends....ah ha ha ha ha....

And might I add he stayed dry all day in them!! I just can't believe how FAST he is growing up!!! I mean my lil baby is wearing UNDERWEAR for crying out loud!!!! Oh and I almost forgot he even told me when he needed to go when we went out!! NO ACCIDENTS!! We are so PROUD of you Max!!!
