Happy 2nd Birthday, Max!!!

Our BIG 2 year old BIRTHDAY BOY woke up about 8 this morning and we got in the car to go and get DOUGHNUTS!!!

Max wanted doughnut holes! He was very excited!!! I will have to make him a yummy breakfast of pancakes later....that is his favorite breakfast food!
Max couldn't wait till we got home! He kept saying "I want eat my doughnuts". I couldn't resist! I handed him the bag! I just love this picture below he is looking at me like "what momma?"

Digging in!!!

That a way to do it Max...smash it in!!!

I love how he has his eyes closed in this picture! He is really enjoying his doughnut holes.

How funny is this expression....

He ate a total of 8 doughnut holes!! He usually eats like 2 or 3. WOW!!

We gave Max his chair and a few books! I got this chair at the Pottery Barn outlet for like 70 bucks!! What a deal! I got it like 4 or 5 months ago and have been hiding it for his bday! We are waiting to give him his big gift when we do cake and ice cream with the family in a few weeks! I can't wait! I think I may be more excited about his gift than he will be....lol.
He was VERY excited about his chair and books!

He threw all the books out and sat in his chair. Then he picked them back up and started reading! This boy LOVES him some books!!

Nana and Papa came by for a quick visit to bring Max a bday present!

Max was quite HAPPY with his new weedeater!! Now he has one like his buddy Cooper! I will say I didn't know that a toy weedeater could make a little boy so happy!!

Shortly after lunch Max and Craig headed to cousin Laney's birthday party at Rivercity Gymnastics! They had a BLAST! Craig said he played hard! Got to see a lot of family and friends and enjoy some birthday cake with Laney!! So FUN!! Max even got a birthday present from his Aunt Lulu and Uncle Gregg at the birthday party! Wish I could have been there to celebrate with Laney!
Craig went and got Max's favorite food at Pei Wei!!
This boy LOVES him some "wice"! Especially chicken fried rice in a takeout container! LOL!

YUMMY!

There he goes closing his eyes again....must be some good "wice"! I have no idea how much rice he ate but all I know is he kept asking for more! What a healthy appetite he has today!

After dinner we stripped down to get a bath and Max decided he wanted to go outside! So we let him for a little! He of course had to take his weedeater too!

He went to town weedeating the grass, shrubs, sidewalk.....you name it!

Here he is making such good sound effects! :)

Here is Max's bday dessert from Chili's! Craig grabbed this on the way home from Pei Wei. I wanted to be able to sing Happy Birthday to Max on his actual Birthday! The sad thing is I didn't have any candles! BOO!

Max loved us singing to him, after we were done he would say more! So adorable! He even wanted us to sing Happy Birthday to "pooper" his good buddy! Such a sweet boy! (Cooper had his birthday exactly a week ago today!) Max took about one bite of his dessert and told us he was "all done"! Then he proceeded to clap for himself! So funny! He just cracks me up sometimes. He ate so much "wice" at dinner I don't think his belly had much room for cake. Of course he isn't much for sweets unless it is candy or "nack nacks" (fruit snacks).

He quickly headed to the playroom to show me the tractor he got from Aunt Lulu and Uncle Gregg for his birthday! Thanks Gregg and Lulu! You were so sweet to think of Max today!
If you look closely you can see Max's hand still on the weedeater! Ha!!

Max insisted "i do it"! He wanted to get it out of the package all by himself. After a few minutes of working on it he let momma do it.

Max had fun playing with the tractor with his daddy!

Here are all his goodies he got today! He even got 2 dollars from his Aunt Regina! What a GREAT birthday!!!

I still can't believe our baby boy is now a BIG 2 year old! I mean really where has the time gone! I was really worried that today wasn't going to be special for Max since I am on bedrest. But I think overall it turned out to be a wonderful day! Can't say we ate very healthy on his birthday since we ate out for breakfast and dinner :) but I wanted Max to have food that he liked and since I couldn't stand and cook this was the next best thing!! We are truly blessed to be able to share this day with our son and for the past 2 years! I can only pray for many many more years with our precious little boy! Happy Birthday son! Your mommy and daddy love you more than you will EVER know!!!

And another week down....28 weeks and a few days...

This picture is Emery at 27wks and 5 days!! We made it to 28 wks this past Friday! Can we say God is so GOOD!!! Don't you just want to kiss those big ole sweet lips!!! I know I do!!!

This past week has been another emotional roller coaster for our family and me! Let's just skip over Monday because I was just an emotional basket case! Although we did get a yummy dinner from our friends Amy and Scott! Thanks guys! A big shout out to Jennifer for watching Max Mon and Wed and Mrs. Lawson for Tue!! Thanks girlies!! Tuesday was an okay day because we got Max signed up for school. Wednesday was just CRAZY!! My mom took me to my OB visit at 10:30 and dropped me off. While I was having a glucose test, protein test, ultrasound, cervical exam, etc....my mom took Max to get his ears rechecked at 10:45. Poor baby still had ears FULL of fluid!!! UGH! Luckily Dr. C has the hookup with Dr. N (ENT) and got us an appointment at 12:30.....so mom came and picked me up....we left OB at 12 and headed to the ENT! We grabbed lunch through a drive through and ate in the parking lot at the ENT. Needless to say we had a little indigestion as we scarfed our food down. So...meet with Dr. N and got the news that Max needed tubes....BOO! Although I know he is going to feel so much better after he gets all that pressure out of his ears!!! Max did really well even though I think he told every person he saw at the Ped's office and ENT's office "no shots" at least a few times each. Poor baby must really be scarred by those Rocephin shots. My mom said he broke down when they headed into the Peds office! After all of this we headed home, Max of course crashed on the way home!!! I got nothing but good news at my OB visit! Cervix measuring the same at 1.7cm! They did an ultrasound of Emery and she looked great too! She is weighing in at 2lbs 7oz right now so she is a few days ahead of schedule!! I guess my glucose test was negative because I haven't heard anything yet and my protein test was indeed negative!! So nothing but GOOD NEWS!!! YEA!!! Don't have to go back for 2 weeks!!
Thursday was fun as I got to hang out on the couch at Amy's while Cooper and Max played! My friend Kim and her girls came to visit around lunch time and Max had a blast playing with them after we ate. He did not want to take a nap!!! We got a yummy dinner of pizza pasta bake and bread from our church friends Kaitlyn and Jared! What a good day it was...
Friday was just pretty laid back. My friend Kelly and her son Chase came to get Max for the day. So I just hung out and rested. Saturday was another FUN day as we headed to the Lawson's house for a father's day lunch. It was nice to get to see the family and watch all the little cousins play together. We headed home for a quick nap and then was off to Cooper's 2nd birthday party! And yes I got to go because they are only a few houses down the street. Don't worry we drove and I was on my best behavior as I laid on the couch the entire time! Cooper's party was a blast! Amy and her fam did a great job with everything!!! It was a Mickey Mouse Party so Max was loving it! It was a good time getting to see a lot of people I haven't seen in a while and catching up! I have to say I didn't want the party to end and neither did Max for that matter. He sure didn't want to leave "Pooper's house"!!! Max had a great time playing with all of "Pooper's" new toys!!!
Sunday was pretty laid back too as Craig and Max went to church. Craig's parents came and brought us lunch and hung out for a while which was very nice! Thanks guys!!! Lunch was very yummy! Then later we headed to my parents to cookout for Father's Day. I of course was on the couch while my mom did most of the work! My dad did the grill cooking and Craig watched Max....so needless to say my dad and Craig didn't really get a no work Father's Day....I told them we would make it up to them next year!! Or at least once I get off bedrest! They both know what great daddy's they are and how much we LOVE them....so that is all that really matters....RIGHT!!!!
That leaves us with Monday....and as you see with the below post Max started his first day of school at First Assembly! I was a little emotional today just because I was wondering how his first day was going and just because I am sad I won't be the one taking him and picking him up each time :(....but I know Amy is going to do a GREAT job and I am very thankful to have her to be able to help out with Max. The good thing about him starting school is that I only have 3 days a week to get help with Max...and I already have 2 of those days fulfilled with Tues are with Jennifer and Weds are with Mrs. Lawson. So all that leaves is Fridays! So much much less stress for me!! Like I have been saying all along...GOD IS SO GOOD!!!
Oh! I almost forgot we got a yummy dinner tonight from our friends Dan and Lisa! They brought us some yummy lasagna, salad, and bread!! Thank guys! We really enjoyed it!!!
On the countdown to 34 weeks! We have 5 weeks and 3 days!! We can do it! We can do it!!!

First Day of Summer School!

Cooper and Max started a summer school program today at First Assembly Christian School!
Look at these boys....growing up so FAST!
We got there a little early so I tried to take a few pictures of them.....but of course I wasn't too successful! It is hard enough trying to get pictures of one 2 yr old let alone two!!! LOL!

Our little boys were all dressed and ready for "Water day" this week! Max was so excited this morning to put on his swimsuit that he didn't eat but like two bites of his breakfast! So silly! Amy picked Max and I up this morning so I could at least help take him to school his first day and meet his teachers and the director of the program (don't worry I got clearance from my OB)! Cooper and Max were so cute on the way to school! They were singing and talking to each other! Max didn't have much of a problem until it was time to go in his room. He got a little upset but seemed to calm down quickly. Before I knew it Amy, Cooper, and Max were pulling up in the driveway! Amy said Max had a great day! His little report sheet for the day said "Max is such a sweet boy! We are so glad to have him in our class! He loved water day!" It also said he ate his lunch well and even took a nap! Let's just say that made his momma so happy!! I was so worried about him most of the day and was thinking that maybe we should have waited until I went back to work to start him in the fall program.....but I think this is going to be great! Max and Cooper will be going every Mon and Thurs until the end of July....so a total of 6 weeks. Just long enough for me to get to that 34 week mark! Wahoo! Then Max and I can have some fun together before little Emery gets here....well that's the plan anyways....

Want to send a shout out to my dear friend Amy! Thank you, thank you for taking my little boy to school each week! We are truly blessed to have you in our lives!! God is sooo good!

Happy Father's Day!!!

My two boys right before church today! So handsome!!!
Just wanted to put a little post out to say THANKS to my wonderful husband Craig! I don't know what Max, Emery, and I would do without him! He is truly a blessing to our family and such a vital part of our family!!! He is an amazing daddy to our son Max and I know he is going to be just as good to his little princess! Craig has not only taken on the role of a great daddy but he has been doing all the "mommy" stuff too as I have been on bedrest! He has done such a GREAT job with everything! So here's to you babe! We love you so much and just want you to have the BEST Father's Day you can have.....well as good as you can with me not being able to do anything for you! I promise to make it up to you later!!!

Just a LITTLE spoiled....

Craig took Max to get the last 2 of 6 Rocephin shots on Sat and good news his ears are starting to get better!!! However, mommy and daddy felt so sorry for poor lil Max soooo....daddy took Max to ToysRus!!! Let's just say he is a little spoiled....
Max and Daddy picked out not 1 truck but 2!!! And of course both of these trucks are FORD!! Like my husband would buy anything different....LOL
Have I mentioned that Max is in LOVE with TRUCKS!!!

And this truck plays music! So FUN!!!

Who knew that 2 trucks could make a little boy so HAPPY!

I have to say even if he is a little spoiled....he is totally WORTH it! This poor baby has gone through a lot these past few weeks!!

Yea for 27 weeks prego!

So today marks 27 weeks for baby Emery and me! It is hard to believe it has already been almost a month since this all started! Time seems to go SO SLOW everyday trying to just get through one more day. But all in all I guess it has gone pretty fast! Just praying for 7 more weeks at least which would put us at 34 weeks and I will be able to get off this couch! Well, as long as everything stays stable OB said I can get up at 34 weeks.....

This week has been a little crazy! I have definitely had my ups and downs this week. Remember I told you all that I am an emotional roller coaster!!! The weekend was good! My parents came and took Max out to dinner Sat night to give Craig and I some alone time! It was a nice treat! Then Sunday my mom made us a wonderful dinner of fresh veggies, pasta salad, and chicken! Monday Max went across the street to hang out with our friend Jennifer and her kids! I had a great visit with Sally and Lauren and they brought us a yummy dinner of chicken casserole, rolls, strawberry salad, and cookies! Tuesday started off good. Craig's mom came and took Max for the morning and then brought him back for naptime. I for some reason was very emotional and just didn't feel good on Tuesday! BOO! Craig started back to school Tuesday night so Amy came and hung out after naptime for about an hour until my mom got here to help out! My mom took us to her house for dinner and just to get me out of the house for a bit. Sadly, right after dinner my alarm company was calling because the alarm was going off!! UGH! So we headed off to my house....luckily nothing was touched.....still really have no idea what happened! But of course I was a little stressed out none the less!

Then on to Wednesday...it was a good day! My friend Autumn and her son Sam came over to help out with Max. Autumn stayed till Max's naptime and then Max actually slept over 3hrs after she left! She wore him out! LOL! Didn't need any help in the afternoon because Craig actually woke him up when he got home!!! Crazy! Thursday morning Amy came and got us and we went down to her house and hung out for a few hours until Max's MD appointment. My mom took him to MD only to find out his ears were NOT BETTER! AHHH! This makes double ear infections for over a month now. Poor baby had to get 2 shots of Rocephin! And the worst part is he has to go back for more!!! If by Sat his ears haven't cleared up Max will have an appointment with the ENT next week! Let's just pray that the 6 shots of Rocephin work!!! If not we will cross that bridge if we have too :( I felt so sorry for him when he got out of the car to come show me his boo boos! He was crying and barely walking. Poor baby! I hate he has to go through this without his momma but at least his Nana "aka my mom" took great care of him! She even took him to get a book and puzzle after his shots!!! Thanks Nana! That was too sweet of you! He was quite whiny after naptime but I guess we would all be if we had to go through this!!! Our friends from church Autumn and Robert came and ate a yummy dinner of Chick-fil-A with us! It was really great to catch up with them! Thanks guys for our dinner! We are truly blessed to be loved by so many!

So...that leaves us with today, Friday! My friend Kelly and her son came over this morning to hang out with Max! They really had a great time! Then my mom came and got Max to go for round 2 of shots! I just hope he doesn't HATE his doctor's office after today because daddy has to take him back tomorrow for the last round!!!

I know this doesn't sound like a bad week....and it really hasn't been bad. Just lots of other things going on that I don't really want to talk about. I guess I have been thinking and worrying too much. It is very easy to do that when you are just laying around all the time! Keep praying for us please! Just gonna keep taking it a day at a time....a day at a time....and I know with GOD I CAN DO THIS!!!

Max and the LiP GloSs

So these pictures were actually taken the day I got back from the hospital. Max got into all the goodies I got and found some lip gloss! He had quite a FUN time with it! Thought these pictures were too cute not to share!
Craig was not too thrilled that Max was playing with PINK lip gloss! LOL!

Check out the "CHEESE" smile! He looks like his daddy when he smiles! So cute!

Max...."I think it is suppose to go over here too...."

The infamous "wow" look at what I can do!

I must say in the end he had about half the tub of lip gloss all over his face and hands! At least it wasn't too much of a mess! I know one day he will look back and this and be like...mom...really you let me play with lip gloss!! Ha Ha Ha!!!!

26 weeks PREGO!!!

Made it to 26 weeks! I can't even tell you how every week is an achievement these days!!! Never realized how much I would look forward to another week down! Just means our baby girl keeps on growing like she should in my tummy! Thank you Jesus!!!
So, we had a pretty good weekend and week! It was nice to have Craig home Sat, Sun, and Mon of this past week! A big THANKS to Mrs. Lawson, Amy, and Allison for helping take care of Max the rest of the week! Also, a big THANKS to Candice, Ali, Bethany, and Allison for all the yummy food you brought this week! I can't tell you guys how much the food helps Craig out! Poor guy is having to do everything these days! He has definitely realized just how much I do week to week! I guess we are both learning a few things through this experience!! I also want to send out a big THANKS to my mom! She took me to the OB on Wed and took Max to the Pediatrician on Fri!
Don't know what we would do without all the help from family and friends!!!
As for my OB visit this week...everything looked GOOD! My cervix still measuring 1.7cm so that means it has stayed stable. The protein test was redone this week and it was NEGATIVE! YEAH! So since all was well Dr. Williams gave me the ok to move around a little! So, I now can make my plate for meals and eat at the table. Who knew that you could get so excited to get up and make your plate! LOL! It's the little things people...the little things....ha!
As for me...I am doing okay! Still taking it a day at a time! Can't say that I don't have days were I just wish this was all over....and can't say that I have gone an entire week without tears, anger, or just pure frustration. This entire experience is just HARD but I know when it is all said and done I will look back and be thankful that God gave me the opportunity to let our little Emery grow enough to be a healthy baby!!! Just trying to stay POSITIVE and think about holding our sweet baby girl in just a few months!!!
