Random cuteness and latety....

Okay...so now that I have caught the blog up a little...here is why I have been so behind the past few weeks....This pic below is of the doctors office! We have been there about 10 times in the last 3 weeks!! UGH! And only 1 of those was for a well visit (Max's 3yr check up..which I still need to post about) and the rest were sick visits for Emery!! YIKES!! She has had a ear infection that WILL NOT GO AWAY!!!!

With that being said we have missed out on quite a few things because of my lil sick girl :(

However, we have still had fun and she hasn't been too horribly bad....well....some days are better than others. LOL

The pic below she found her reflection in the dishwasher and she was kissing herself!! How freaking cute is that!! Man I could just EAT her up!!!

Back to the doc...we ended up with 2 different antibiotics and her ears steadily got worse. Then we got the dreaded Rocephin shots three days in a row. That was probably the WORST three days of all of this ear infection! Emery was quite miserable!! We had LOTS of fussy times during it but we made it through and last Tuesday we had another ear recheck a few days after the shots and she was still had a little infection....so they put her on another antibiotic! UGH! Needless to say we may end up with tubes very soon :( I am so ready for it all to be over so I don't think I will complain too much if we do go the tubes route! Okay....enough about that....
The fridge is one of Emery's FAVORITE spots!! Ha ha! I told you this girl LOVES to eat....but in all seriousness she is just nosy and curious!
So as you can tell she wasn't too bad after the shots kicked in! We did do lots of playing in our pjs some days! And by the time the kids go down for bed I am passed out too! I got so far behind in blogging, embroidery, and working on stuff around the house. I was planning on consigning in the big Kids Town Consignment but I never got around to tagging anything...oh well...there is always next time!

Emery is really starting to play with her toys! It is so sweet to watch her stirring up her veggies and then trying to eat them or share them with you!

She is quite the little character!! She definitely has a mind of her own and she will let EVERYONE know about it too! I honestly have NO IDEA where she gets that from....LOL

And she is getting into EVERYTHING these days!!! So much FUN!!

I am so glad that she is starting to feel somewhat better....but now we are dealing with her two front teeth coming in :( YIKES!!! I am ready for her to be back to her little old smiley, happy self again all the time!!

Max's FIRST Dentist Appointment!

Okay...okay now I KNOW Max is growing up too fast!! He had his FIRST dentist appointment today and he was such a BIG boy!!!

A huge thanks to Candice for referring me to Dr. Meade Moore!! We had such a wonderful experience with everyone we encountered there! When didn't have to wait but a few minutes and they had toys and games for Max to be entertained with!! It was so great!
When we first went back Max got a little nervous because he didn't want to lay down for Ms. Michelle! He warmed up fast though and was laying down in no time...ALL BY HIMSELF!!! Like I said he was such a BIG boy!

Max wasn't too sure about that bright light on his face but when Mrs. Michelle gave him some sunglasses to wear he was all for it! They even had a TV on the ceiling so he could watch that while they cleaned his teeth!

I really had no idea how the visit was going to go...we went and got a going to the dentist book yesterday because Max had been telling me "I don't want to go to the dentist and them put me under water!"...ummmm where exactly did that come from??? not sure....so off to the bookstore we went! Thank goodness we found one after hitting a few different bookstores!

Mrs. Michelle was so good about explaining everything and showing Max what everything was before she did it! Max laid there so still and when she squirted the water in his mouth and put the suctioning straw in his mouth he acted like he knew just what to do! I was so proud of him! Mrs. Michelle told him that she didn't believe that this was his FIRST time! She said he acted like he had done this a few times!

He didn't even have any problems letting her clean! He picked out the strawberry cleaner and told Mrs. Michelle that it tasted like his Nana's strawberry cake! LOL

I mean really...he even let her floss with actual floss! I was so impressed!!!

Then they measured his mouth and just as I was afraid of...the top of his mouth is 30.8 mm and it is suppose to be 38mm!!! I had to have my mouth widened as a kid and had this crazy little contraption thing which I see in Max's near future....Dr. Moore said he could grow out of it around the age of 5 1/2 to 6 but more than likely it will stay pretty narrow. Oh well...at least that is something we can fix :)

Dr. Moore had nothing but good thing to say about Max's teeth! I was so glad because I have horrible teeth (genetics...not because of hygiene...lol) and I want to try and keep Max's as healthy as possible! I don't want him to have to go down the road I have with my teeth! :( Here Dr. Moore is brushing on some vitamins...as he told Max (it was really fluoride).

At the end of his treatment since he was such a GOOD boy! He got 2 tokens to go and get something out of the toy machine! Max LOVED being able to do that and I think he will be something fun to look forward to each time he goes!

The lizard and dragonfly are the toys he got out of the machine! So fun! He even got his FIRST tube of BIG boy toothpaste...now for the fun part of teaching him how to spit! I know he is going to LOVE that! I am sure it won't be hard to teach him that at all....

So proud of you Max! I just can't get over how you acted so BIG today!!

Laundry Basket Love

So we have been staying in quite a bit these days as it is VERY HOT and Emery has been sick for like a month now (will explain in another post). Anyways, so back to staying inside we have to come up with some FUN things to do when we get bored!!

So on this particular day I put my fussy lil Emery in the laundry basket and was pulling her around. She LOVED it! She was laughing and having a good ole time so Max decided he wanted to join in the fun!
We were having a great ole time and I was getting some laughs in and some exercise for that matter!

A quick takeoff had Max screaming! Ha! He was screaming in excitement....well...I think he was....ha ha!

So Max leaned over to hug Emery and I was trying to snap a pic just when he decided to try and pick her up by her head!! AHHHHHHHH!! No worries Emery was fine and she didn't even cry. She is going to be one TOUGH cookie!!!

Even though we have some little battles daily with Max....like I am pretty sure I tell him at least two hundred and fifty times to be nice and be gentle with sister....it is so fun to watch how they are really interacting these days! Even if Max doesn't show it all the time he really does LOVE his sister and Emery just ADORES her bubba!!

Max and Cooper Playdate!

Lil Cooper and his mommy Amy came over to PLAY today so we decided to get out the water slide for Coop to try out! He was super excited! He kept telling me "Ohhh Mrs. Jiggy this is going to be so COOL!" Such a sweet little boy!

They actually had played on the slide a little while before I started taking pics! This is there first break! Love this picture of them throwing back their popsicles!!
So...needless to say Max and Cooper are ALL BOY!!! They wanted to box and knock each other in the water!

So....Amy and I said okay but only if you are gentle with each other and if you remember that you can't do this with other friends!

Let me just tell you they had a BLAST! There were LOTS and LOTS of laughs not only by the kids but by Amy and me too! I actually got some really funny video footage of it all too!

Which will be quite humorous to show them one day when they are bigger! LOL

What a FUN time we had together!! I promise the boys were gentle even though it may not look like it in the pics....ha ha!

Blueberry Muffins!

This past Saturday morning Max helped me make some BLUEBERRY MUFFINS!! He was such a good helper!

The kids couldn't WAIT for them to be done so they could eat them!!
Let's just say Emery LOVED her first blueberry muffin!

She ate an entire one by herself and wanted MORE!!!

Max enjoyed one too!

I just LOVE me some Saturday mornings because it is the only day that we are all home together!! I love making breakfast and spending time together all day!! It is all good until the evening comes and it is off to work I go :(

A fun night with friends and family!

My sister n law had a get together at her house Friday night! She invited some friends/family that have known each other for years!!

The adults had a BLAST hanging out and so did all the kids!!
