Max's 1st Birthday Party!

Max had his 1st Birthday Party on July 4th at our home!

We had sandwiches, chips, watermelon, and cake!
For the party favors I did a candy buffet of peanut mms, plain mms, laffy taffy, skittles, and starburst! I think it was a hit! It is always fun to get some yummy candy!

Max was sleeping as his guests arrived but shortly after he woke and we started lunch!

We had quite a few guests: grandmother and granddaddy lawson, wesley, jodie, baby blake, and lulu picured here....

Max's Aunt Cher and Uncle Chuck drove in from Jackson, MS to attend! Thanks for making the trip up! We really enjoyed having you here!

We rented a bounce house for the bday party! It was HUGE! After everyone ate we headed out for a little bounce time!

Uncle Michael and Darren got Max a choo choo train which by the way he LOVES! It has so many different things to do on it! Hours of entertainment!

Got a little people tugboat from Aunt Nicole, Uncle Taylor, Ethan, Wesley, and Samuel! Thanks guys the boat is a lot of fun in the bathtub!

Now that we burned up all that energy bouncing and opening presents.....IT'S TIME FOR CAKE!! This is a pic of the layered cake for everyone! Thanks Amy for doing such a great job on the cakes! They were both so YUMMY and BEAUTIFUL!

It's cake time for MAX!

He took it slow at first.....

After the hat was off......he started DIGGING in!

It was so fun watching our sweet little boy make such a mess with his birthday cake!

He is quite the mess! He started rubbing the icing ALL over his face at this point! So we were all laughing at him and he was laughing back at us! So glad I video taped this!

He tackled about a 1/4 of the cake! WOW what a MESS!

We called it quits and headed for the bathtub! It took TWO to get this boy clean! HA HA!

After the bath it was time to bust out those new toys and start PLAYING! I mean Max was on a sugar high.....so might as well work some of that off.....right?!

Got this lawn mower from grandma (or nana) and gramps Maxwell which Max is OBSESSED with! He pushes or pulls it everywhere these days!

Max playing with the water table mommy and daddy got him....we also got him the radio flyer turtle ride on toy.....along with a wagon and push car that he already got a few months ago.....I had a problem with buying something and giving it to him and then I would buy something else....oops! He is worth it though....at least that is what I keep telling myself....he he!

What a wonderful 1st birthday! It all went by too fast! I think I have over 200 pictures from this day, so here is just a taste of what party was like! Enjoy the post.
