Lately...

Like I said before....The time change has gotten to Max this year...He has been getting up early (as in before 7 some days or right after) when he usually got up about 8 to 8:30 and some mornings I have to wake him for school.
You know you have a tired little boy when he falls asleep in the car on the way home and he lets me transfer him to his bed!!
Emery on the other hand didn't nap at all that day and fell asleep on our way home from our friends house!!
On Saturday (Nov. 17th) Max and Craig went bowling together while Em and I stayed home to clean. However, we did have to make a quick run to Target for a few things and I let Em pick out a toy since Bubba was doing something fun with Daddy. She picked out this cute little doodle kitty that she has wanted for some time now!
Once Daddy and Bubba got home it was outside to get our play on!! We played some basketball and baseball....then we got the truck out! Em has had a BLAST with this!! She has played on it way more in a week already than Max has in the two years we have had it!
Driving Bubba around!! LOL
Silly girl LOVES to drive around in this truck!! She gets so tickled while she is driving!! I love it!!
On Monday night (Nov. 19th) we went to Froyo for Ava at Orange Leaf yogurt place in Southhaven. We are all praying for a MIRACLE for our sweet little Ava!! If you would like to support her and her family please visit their facebook page Pray for Ava! Or just keep her on your prayer list. Anything will be helpful!
On Wed the kids and I had to run to Sams to get a few things. They were so good so I decided they both needed an icee ;) They were super excited about it!!

We came home and got out our little people Thanksgiving set and talked about what Thanksgiving is and why it came about!

Then we got to BAKING!! The kids and I made pumpkin and turkey sugar cookies!!

So much FUN!!

Taste testing to make sure they were good enough to share with our family for Thanksgiving!!
No worries....they turned out just fine....

Max started BASKETBALL!!!

This is Max's FIRST year that he was old enough to play BASKETBALL!! And let me tell you he has been ready for some time now! We signed him up to play with Hope Pres. It is a PreK teams so 4 and 5 yr olds and the team has paired up with the Memphis Grizzlies this year so the kids are actually Junior Grizzlies!! They all get a ticket to one of the Grizzlies games for free and get tailored Memphis Grizzlies uniforms!! So fun!!
Max had his first practice Sunday Nov. 11th!! I am sleeping during his practice since I work Sat nights so Craig tries to take a few pictures while they are there.
First practice went great according to Craig and Max.
Max got out and there and was all about it!! Craig said the coach Scott (guy in the black shirt) he is the head coach over all the teams, He told Craig that Max had some great talent!! Proud parent moment ;)
Max's second practice was Nov. 18th!! Another great one!!  Oh I forgot to mention that Max's cousin Sam is on his team too!! Max was pumped when he found out!!
Blurry picture...but I love that little smile!! This boy lights up when he is playing some hoops!

Craig said at this practice coach Scott was teaching the kids about tip offs and how to start off the game. He asked Max and Sam to be his volunteers to show the other kids how it works!
Max came home super excited to tell me all about his second basketball practice!! He counts down the days until the next one!!
So excited for him!! And look forward to seeing him play come Jan!!

My little TURKEYS!!

On Thursday Nov. 15th the kids had a Thanksgiving Feast at school! I sent them in their turkey shirts so of course I had to take a few pictures before they were off to school!!

The kids refused to sit together for these pictures....but at least I got a few cute ones of them separate!!

Silly girl!! She wanted to sit on top of the pumpkin!
Oh so many faces....

"Punkin head!!!" So so silly!!

Before loading up they let me take a picture of them together!! (And there could have been some candy in the car waiting on them....) ;)
So I had a Mommy FAIL today...I thought the feast was for kids only....which meant Mommies and Daddies were not allowed....well...I thought wrong :( When I got there to pick up Max he wanted to know where I was today. The letter sent home was to just basically tell the parents that there was only going to be food for the kids but we were welcome to come and watch. Oh well....
Max told me ALL about it!! These are the cute candles they made! I brought it home and put in the center of our table! Max told me that they had lots of food at the feast....turkey roll-ups, cheese roll-ups, jello, fruit, cheese puffs, mac-n-cheese and juice! He said "I didn't like any of it really, but I said no thank you!" So proud of him!!
Max's place mat! Apparently all of the kids make a place mat each year.
Emery's turkey craft!! It didn't make it home with both eyes intact. She wanted to hold it on the way home because the cup was filled with candy. She of course shared with her bubba!!
Emery's place mat!!
And some of the classes make shirts to wear to the feast!! This was Emery's shirt she was wearing when I picked her up. So cute!!
So sad I missed coming to the feast but I know that my kids were loved on and had a blast without me!! Such a blessing to have my kids at St. Paul!! It truly is a wonderful wonderful school!

Emery is TWO!!

This post is WAY over due!! Shame on me!! I have had it saved on the blog for a while and keep forgetting to write it :(
Well...here goes...Little Miss Emery is TWO and 2 months now!!
She weighed 26.5 lbs on last visit to doc and I think her height is right at 36 inches.
Clothes size...2T tops, 18-24 pants and some 2T, shoes are size 8 and size 5 diaper.
So so full of energy, life, personality, spunk...you name it!! I mean I know that all two year olds are busy but I think Emery may be a little on the crazy busy side ;) She is always getting into something these days!! She definitely keeps me on my toes....and anyone around for that matter ;)
Things she is into these days....babies, babies and babies (this includes stuffed animals) she loves to love on them, feed them, rock them, read to them, dance with them.... You also love to jump on your mini trampoline and play in your kitchen! And a messy favorite would have to be playing in the water!! You love to make water messes!! ;) Oh and you LOVE to color, paint, play with "tickers" (stickers)!
You are quite the talker these days!! You say and repeat most things back to us. However, your annunciation isn't the greatest. Ha! For example...For Let's Go Tennessee you say "Let's Go Titty!" I have to say it is hilarious none the less. Other things you say alot "that's ool" (that's cool),  "whatcha doin?", "what's that?", "hold you" (still love that you come to me and ask me this...I may cry the day you come to me and say  hold me), "it's nummy!" (it's yummy), "I wanna nack!" (I want a snack), and on and on....

You do bedtime routine well...you go to bed around 8:30 and you are usually up by 8. Some mornings I have to wake you depending on if you napped the day before. You are not a napper! You would much rather skip that part of the day! I just don't think you require as much sleep as a normal 2 yr old. At about 1 and half we started struggling with naps and we still do. I would say you end up taking a nap about 4 days a week on estimate. But the good thing is if you don't nap you are not cranky! You are always in good spirits so that it why I think you don't really have to have it....
Another FAVORITE for you....SINGING and DANCING!! You are a excellent singer and you memorize whole songs very easily! Some you run around singing...Jesus Loves Me (this one you belt out at the top of your lungs!! So cute!) ABCs, Zacchaeus, He's got the whole world in his hands, This little light of mine, If your happy and you know it, Bringing home a baby bubble bee, and many more!

You have really gotten into BOOKS too! Love this!! I find you sitting (briefly) and reading to your animals and just reading out loud. Some of your favorite books are elmo bubbles, elmo nighty night, elmo at the zoo, peek-a-boo, any flap or touch and feel book, 5 butterflies, 10 ladybugs, and 8 Monkeys Jumping on a bed!
Miss Independent....is in fact a UNDERSTATEMENT!! You honestly and truly believe that you CAN do EVERYTHING by yourself! I think I here "I DO IT!" about a thousand times a day. It is a struggle....but I have found if I let you do it for a minute you will finally say "help, mommy!"
I know I have said this before but you are full of life!! You are a very happy happy girl and know how to make someone smile in an instance! You are full of personality and constantly have us giggling!! You have about 100 different facial expressions and you know how to work them into whatever is going on. For example: When you are getting in trouble you have a very funny face (you close your eyes, pucker up your lips, shake your head side to side and hum) Oh yes..it is quite silly and the first few times I broke down laughing and totally forgot I was getting on to you....
You have shown us how smart you are these days by counting to ten, you know colors (pink, yellow, orange, blue, purple, red, green, black, and brown), You can sing the ABCs and just the other day you were doing some number and letter recognition! I was truly amazed by this!! You know a handful of letters and numbers by site (2,3,5,8) and (A, B, C, E, M, S, X). You are really getting into animals and their sounds these days too! You love to go to the zoo and see all the "any-mals"!!

Some of your favorite shows...Team Umizoomi!! You LOVE this and usually that is what you ask to watch. You also like Bubble Guppies, Doc Mcstuffins, Minnie Mouse, Jake and the Neverending Pirates, and Dora.
Back to LOVING water!! This summer you were ALL over the pool! You have NO FEAR of anything and you were jumping off the side of the pool and swimming to the stairs in the deep in! You would do it over and over again!! Of course you had your puddle jumper on but you were definitely going through the motions! You ARE our little water baby!!
Favorite foods...you LOVE "She's" or (Cheese!) You ask for this many times a day. You love chicken, turkey, hot dogs, pepperonis (really most meats), I think the only veggies I can get you to eat are raw carrots and cucumbers with ranch...however, you will eat them if they are in things like chicken pot pie. You love fruit! I don't think there is one fruit that you won't eat...your favorite by far is strawberries and grapes! You are not much of a milk drinker unless it is in your cereal. If I give you milk in the morning you usually give me your cup back and say "I not want milk...i want JUICE!" (and that usually accompanies and very dramatic serious mad face) LOL Things you don't like...rolls, biscuits, muffins...you may eat one bite or two and then you say "I not like this" You really don't get into crackers much either...you like popcorn but other cracker things usually end up on the floor or crunched up all over the table.
Your favorite favorite thing in the world right now is CANDY!!! You have a serious LOVE for it and will do anything in the world for it!! Hence the picture below...she took all these pictures above and kept a bow in for CANDY!! LOL I don't use it as bribery....I would like to say I use it as positive reinforcement ;) For example...Emery is not a napper...but if she takes a nap or rests quietly in her bed she gets CANDY! And let me tell you it works like a charm!!
All in all Emery you are our little princess!! You are such a wonderful blessing!! Mommy, Daddy, and Bubba love you more and more everyday!! I don't think any of us could imagine our life without you! I pray for many many more years with you! We want to continue to watch you grow and learn!! I already know you are going to be a successful adult! I have many people tell me the strong willed, hard headed are always the ones that succeed! So you go girl!! We are all so proud of you already and thankful for you everyday ! Love you sweet girl!!
