Teethin BITES!

eatin some apple

biter biscuits...or shall I call them messy biscuits!!!

these pictures were taken before the biscuit got all wet and gooey!

Well, Max is officially teething. We have stocked the house with tylenol, teething tablets, oragel, biter biscuits, new teethers, and many other things! Poor lil guy is just having a hard time. He isn't taking his bottles very good because I have been told it hurts to suck on the bottle. I have tried making the temperature of the bottle cooler but he seems to hate that more! So basically mommy has been a little stressed!!! I got to talk with Lessley and Gregg (Aunt LuLu and Uncle Gregg to Max) and they gave us some very helpful information for lil teethers! Thanks to both of you! Hope you are feelin better LuLu!
So we tried cut up apples in the sack thingy (not sure what it is called..refer to picture one)! He loved the cold apple on his gums. He chewed on that for about 15 minutes! I was so proud of him he knew exactly what to do with it!!
Then we tried biter biscuits! He loved them too! But mommy didn't....they made a HUGE mess all over his hands, face, high chair, bib, you name it sticky biter biscuits pieces everywhere!!! But he had a few minutes of fun with no tears!!! So it was worth it!
Overall, he is doing pretty well with his swollen gums. He has woken up a little more at night crying because he can't find his pacy. I put two pacys in his bed last night so he would for sure find one of them! He only woke up once. Tuesday Max had a hard day...he was running a temp and just clingy clingy clingy. The only way I could get him to sleep good was in my arms or right next to me. Poor thing! Today was a lot better though! He ate 2 good bottles and 2 not so good. But he chowed down on some baby food and I even let him try some bites of bread at lunch! He really enjoyed that!

This is for DADDY!

Max just wants to let his Daddy know that he LOVES him VERY MUCH! Thank you for being a great da da! Here a few words for his daddy.... I know these words make a daddy proud! I love you babe!

Prunes are the BOMB!

Max had prunes for the first time about a week ago....lets just say he LOVED them! Who knew!? I thought they looked disgusting and smelled disgusting and there was NO way he was going to like them....but I WAS WRONG! My lil boy chowed them down! He didn't want to stop...however I didn't let him eat too much so that he wouldn't get a tummy ache! I let him help feed himself with his little dipper spoons. He did a pretty good job...except for he put a lot on his face!! HA! I can't believe he likes prunes but not peaches!! Such a funny lil boy!

Too funny!

Just thought this pic was too cute! I just had to post it! I have no idea what he is doing here and why I was takin a picture...but I guess I snapped it at just the right time! HA!

We got to go to Jackson, MS on New Years to visit with all the family. We stayed with my sister Cher and her husband Chuck. We got there Thursday and left early Saturday morning. We got to see Grandpa Mickey and Grandma Helen and a lot of Grandpa Mickey's family! They had a get together over at Aunt MaeRene's and Uncle Bubba's house! It was a good time! Glad we got to see everyone! Max got a dallas cowboys recliner from Grandpa Mickey and Grandma Helen! Can you believe that! Craig was in heaven!
Then we headed back to Cher and Chucks and celebrated Christmas with them. Friday we got to see Aunt Cera and her fam and then off to dinner with Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Cheryl and some more of mom's family! It was a jammed pack two days!!! But we enjoyed every bit of it! Poor Max was a little thrown out of his schedule but of course he did great! We got up at 5:30 Saturday morning to head back to Memphis. I had to work of course.....

6 month checkup!

Max had his 6 month checkup Dec. 30! He did great! He is weighing in at 18lbs 10oz and 28 1/2 inches! He is at the 75% for weight and 95% for height! He is growing very well says Dr. Christion! He had another urine test done in the office and everything looked good. They sent it off for further testing so hopefully it will come back clean. Max has only had about 5 or 6 diapers with blood since Thanksgiving so I am praying this is resolving on its own. Max also got 3 shots this visit along with one being his first flu shot! He has done pretty well..he was fussy, clingy and had a little fever the first day but now you wouldn't even know he had shots! I was so proud of him at the doctors office he only cried while the shots were given and then I picked him up and he stopped! Such a BIG boy! Craig got to go since he was off and got to see what we go through with these healthy check ups! It was nice to have him there! We love you daddy!!!

Max has met all his developmental milestones for 6 months and a few early ones. We are just waitin for lil man to take off crawling any day! When he is up on all fours he rocks a little but he just hasn't figured out how to move his arms or legs yet. He is starting to get really frustrated when he is on his belly and can't get to his toys. So we shall see. Who knows it could be another month....or more....Whatever lil man wants...doesn't bother me....at least I know where I put him when I leave the room he won't be too far away from that spot! HA!

Well, we are off this morning to go to Jackson, MS to visit with family so I will get updates from Christmas on here soon! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
