Max's Birthday Party Part 1

Max celebrated his Birthday Party at Andy Bs Bowling Alley!! His only requests were he wanted a bowling party, on his ACTUAL Birthday and he wanted to make his cupcakes. That was pretty simple to honor!! Oh and he wanted bowling pin cookies for favors but those got nixed and some cute little bowling sets were picked out instead.

So SILLY!! These kiddos were oh so EXCITED about the big BIRTHDAY bash!!

Doug was our first guest! His grandma said he was so excited about it all day. He asked about every 15 minutes if it was time to go to Max's party yet. So she decided to just come early! LOL

Grabbed a little family photo before everyone got there! Sweetness!!

Pre food set up. Max wanted me to make him a banner. It turned out okay...best I could do just cutting it out by hand. I so need to get one of those cutting machines... The bowling alley supplied paper products, table covers a few balloons. We added on the bowling pin and meant to have everyone at the party sign it but with all the excitement we forgot. Boo!!

The cute little party favors we picked up at Party City. These were picked up last minute to replace the bowling pin cookies that didn't turn out ;)

Getting STARTED!! The sweet party planner Kristin let the kiddos go ahead and get started! Max, Doug, and Em got a few rounds in before some of the guest started arriving!

They were ALL about being nothing but SILLY!!!

Come on...Come on...I can hear Max now!!

Our buddy Davis was ALL into it!! He was so cute!!

Our buddy Ellis below! This was his FIRST time bowling!! He really enjoyed it! On Max's lane he had himself, Doug, Emery, Julia, Davis, and Ellis. On the second lane we had Sam, Ethan, Wes, Cooper, Sawyer, Christian, and Alex (also his FIRST time bowling)!

Max would be serious every now and again. But for the most part he was nothing but

SILLY....SILLY.....SILLY

Hence Max and Em started out in a hug and ended in a tackle to the floor! LOL

Our sweet friends Cooper and his mommy Amy!! Love them!! You can also catch a glimpse of Nana, Pawpaw, Aunt Nicole, Granddaddy, Sawyer's mommy Kelley, Alex's Dad, and Doug's Grandma!

Max started a trend on falling down. It was pretty funny!! Boys will be BOYS!!

Sawyer was looking oh so serious!! He was into the game!!

Emery was LOVING it! She of course wanted "do it myself!" and she did! She really did a great job and I think ended up beating everyone on that lane.

This was right before a complete meltdown...He kept holding his belly. I should have known he was starving since we usually eat around 5:30 each day and the party started at 6. We didn't get food until 7 so....

It's MY PARTY and I'll CRY if I want to...Yes, we had an emotional moment but we got back on track pretty quickly...

and even got a few laughs in the process!! Max said he was done bowling but after a little talking and maybe a little tickling too....

He decided to get right back in there and play the last 5 minutes!

It was a little chaotic at times with 13 kids trying to bowl on two lanes but Max LOVED it so that is ALL that matters!!

His last bowl of the party! The kids didn't even finish a whole game in the hours allotted. So we just acted like everyone WON!! Way to go team!!

Then it was finally time to EAT!!!

Max's Birthday Morning!!

June 26th was the BIG DAY!! Max turned FIVE years old!! It was a Wednesday so Daddy was at work but we made the most of our day together!! I got up early so I would be awake when Max starting stirring. I just LOVE birthdays and making them special!!

Max woke up and came out of his room. I quickly ran to him and started singing Happy Birthday!! He was so pumped! He LOVED all his decorations!!

He really loved all the balloons in his room!!

I wrote all over the mirror in the bathroom with a dry erase marker! Max thought that was so cool! He said Mommy take a picture with me. He also kept telling me Thank you for all his little fun surprises! Such a sweetie!!

Max wanted to make his own cupcakes for his party guests! So we got started first thing that morning!

Emery slept a little late so Max and I had some one on one time which was pretty fun!! 

It wasn't long after we started the cupcakes that Em woke up! She wanted to pretend wake up Max and sing to him. So we went back in his room and sang Happy Birthday with the Little People birthday cake. That has kind of become a little tradition each birthday with the kids. 

Daddy got doughnuts for the BIRTHDAY BOY!! He got up early and brought them back home before heading to work. He took orders from the kids the night before so Max was all ready for his STRAWBERRY doughnut!! 

We stuck a number 5 candle in it and sang Happy Birthday!! 

Yummy! Yummy!!

We finished up the cupcakes and then we went to a Pool Playdate with some of our friends!! 

Max, Cooper, and Hudson had a blast playing torpedo games together!

We had a little lunch and then....

We enjoyed some COOKIE CAKE with our friends!! Everyone sang to him there too!

While we were waiting on a knife to cut the cookie the kids started digging into the icing! LOL

Pretty funny! I could have said stop but I decided WHY NOT?! Let the kids be kids and ENJOY this moment. Who cares if it isn't exactly sanitary. (There was another cookie cake there that the adults enjoyed)

Love Coop and Max licking their lips here!! It really was a YUMMY cookie cake!! Thanks to Sams for a rather inexpensive double decker cookie filled with icing!! 

We stayed at the pool playdate for a few hours. The kids had a BLAST!! A big thanks to Jessica for hosting it!! It really was TONS of fun!! And we just lucked up that it fell on Max's bday! I didn't get pics because I was in the deep end of the pool helping but Max jumped off the diving board numerous times with no swim vest! I was so PROUD of him! He is becoming quite the little swimmer! Emery even jumped off the diving board (with her puddle jumper) and LOVED it!! Such a FUN FUN day!! 

We came home for a little R and R and I got to work icing the cupcakes. Threw on a little sprinkles and they were all ready for the bday party!! Next up on the blog is Max's bday party!! Oh and LOTS more post coming your way...I am so so so so so BEHIND!!
