Max is going PEE PEE in the POTTY!!!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!! It has FINALLY happened!!

Max is PEEING in the potty!!! Wahoo!! After we got home from school on Monday Max decided he wanted to peepee in the potty! He did it a few times that night and finished out his first sticker sheet that had been ongoing for like 2 months!!
He was so excited to put his sticker on! He was screaming "I PEE PEED IN THE POTTY!!"

He kept telling me "I LOVE it!" and "Tank you so much, mommy!"

So on Tuesday we ventured out and got some pullups...which he refused to wear and really only peed in the potty a few times all day. But Wednesday morning he got up and peed in the potty all by himself!! SUCH A BIG BOY!!! Then I think he didn't pee in the potty the rest of the day...gotta start somewhere...we were just taking it easy...I didn't want to rush it or stress him out! On Thursday he decided to give the pullups a go...

And by Saturday he was pretty much going all day in the potty!! So he got his little hockey table! He was SUPER EXCITED about this new toy!

Anyways, some people told me to just back off and he will do it when he is ready! Well, they were soooo RIGHT!! Just out of the blue he wanted to pee pee in the potty! Now...we must work on the underwear situation. Max told me he didn't want to wear underwear because he wanted me to change his diaper/pullup still?!? WHAT?! I guess that goes back to the jealously issue we have with sister some days...if only I could get in the mind of a 3 year for one day! LOL

Oh...and by Sunday he was peeing in the potty with NO ACCIDENTS in his pullups!! Can I get a whoop whoop!!

Emery is ELEVEN months!!

Our PRECIOUS little girl is 11 months!! I mean really is there only a month left before she is ONE!!!

Emery is weighing in at 19 and half pounds. I honestly have no idea how long she is but I know she is taller! She is wearing 6-12 month clothes, size 3 diaper and size 3 shoe!! I measured her foot the other day and couldn't believe she was almost a size 3!!! Not sure when she had a growth spurt there...
She has such a little personality these days! I can't even count all the different faces she gives use for different things! She is quite the little character! She has us laughing and smiling many days! Even though this past month has been hard on her with being sick and a never ending ear infection she still smiles when you put a camera in her face! I love that about her because to the common eye there is NOTHING wrong with this girl...but behind the scenes we ALL know she isn't feeling well!

She honestly LIGHTS up a room and draws the attention of many when we are out! She just has eyes that light up when you talk to her and a contagious smile!

Things she LOVES: to play patty cake (she will clap her hands while you sing the song), to be HELD, Baby Einstein videos in the car (this helps her to not scream...she doesn't love the carseat), to EAT, to watch her brother (even if he is very mean to her sometimes), light up and musical toys, her blankie and seahorse, anything cold for her mouth (as she has 4 teeth coming in), being outside, bathtime, her momma and daddy, being HELD, eating, getting her teeth brushed, and much more I am sure I am forgetting!

Remember I said she LOVES to EAT: I would say favorite foods are strawberries, chicken, grapes, veggie straws, apple straws, cereal, waffles, pancakes, really any bread, french fries, mum mums, gerber puffs, and popsicles. She is eating breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks a day. Emery gets 3 6oz bottles that she usually takes most of them. She is drinking from a sippy cup really well and will start transitioning some BIG GIRL milk very soon :)

Some NEW things: climbing the stairs (she found the gate open and she took off...no FEAR), saying YEA to everything and anything...however I think she really does know what it means because when you say "Emery, do you want to eat?" She will say "Yea! Yea!" and smile really big and slap her arms with excitement! It is so adorable!, giving kisses all the time, turning the water on in the bathtub, trying to repeat some words, oh and BEST OF ALL she is really saying MAMA now a days!!! It isn't very consistent but she is getting there. I must get it on video!

Sleeping patterns are a little crazy. She seems to be waking between 6:30 and 7:30 and napping around 1 to 4 (the whole nap thing varies everyday) and bedtime around 8-8:30. I honestly can't believe that she has already dropped her morning nap and she fights her naps so bad that really the only way we get her to sleep is when she takes her middle of the day bottle she usually passes out. I have no idea what I am going to do once Max is back in school because pickup time is 2:30.....???

Emery is very head strong already. She likes to do things HER way (I mean really who doesn't) but she gets frustrated and boy she will let you have it! For instance, she likes to feed herself and if you try to give her something to eat she will slap it out of your hand and start fussing. Then if you just drop it on the highchair she will smile and eat it up! Ha! I am afraid I have my work cut out for me in the very near future!!!

Still getting into everything. She really is opening cabinets and drawers and pulling everything out! She is actually pretty good about putting some of it back too! Maybe she will take after her momma a little :)

Still doesn't like to wear bows!! She usually rips them off as soon as I stick it on unless I can distract her. I think it is funny though because she tries to put them back on when she pulls them off! Smart little girl!

Crazy how these 11 months have FLOWN by! Our baby girl is starting to look more like a little girl everyday :( So bittersweet! I know it is sad to think so much time has already gone by but I also look forward to all the fun memories we are going to make!! We are truly blessed to have this little angel in our family! God is so GOOD!!! And I can't get over how much I LOVE her more and more everyday!!

WOW...what a week....

Soo...the beginning of the week wasn't horrible. Monday I actually got to come home and sleep as Craig was off! Then while Emery was napping I got a few thing embroidered for her!! Yea! We picked up Max from school and just kind of hung out the rest of the day! Exciting news though Max got home from school and decided he wanted to start peeing in the potty!!!

On Tuesday, Emery was quite the FUSSY little girl! We honestly didn't do much of anything because I wasn't quite sure what was going on with her. SO...with that said Tuesday night we were up a few times so Wednesday morning I called her Ped and got an appointment! Ugh! We have seriously been at that doctor's office once or twice or three times (Rocephin shots)for the past 5 weeks!! I mean REALLY!!! Anyways, Dr. Christian confirmed that she still had fluid in the right ear but now she had fluid in the left!! YUCKO! And she also had a case of tonsilitis! Okay...so this is the ear and sinus infection that will NEVER end!! Good and Bad news is we got an appointment for the ENT on Monday...looks like the only way to resolve this issue is good old fasioned TUBES!!! I say "COME ON WITH IT ALREADY!!!"

Wednesday afternoon I got a MUCH needed break because a dear friend of mine Candice left me her pass for Kidstowne to go shopping while she was out of town! I took my time and looked around for a little while. I only ended up walking out with 4 items. 2 for Emery and 2 for Candice's daughter Maggie. I love the two items I got for Emery!! Check them out below!!

On Thursday I decided to GET OUT!!! I just couldn't stand it to be cooped up in the house another day with the kids. I figured why not risk it and let Emery be fussy out instead of just staying home. Sooo we went shopping! I found some great sale items at Babytime!! I got the blue dress and the little white sweater for $14 bucks each and the reversible tie dress for $20! Such a DEAL!!! We went a few other places but didn't find anything :( I think the shopping was my retail therapy for day!
Emery was QUITE fussy the entire time we were out and some when we got back home. The funny thing is that she was quite the smiley baby when you started taking pictures of her...she just doesn't want to not look "cute" for the camera...LOL

Sidenote: To be honest I started this post a while back (today is 9/29/11) and never finished it...I have no idea what happened the rest of the week but I am thinking it wasn't a very fun one. So basically I just go on to end this post so these incredibly cute pics can be on the blog :)

Cupcakes for School!

This Sunday we made CUPCAKES for Max's last day of summer school party on Monday! He actually only went to school on Mondays two days in June and three in July but it was nice to be able to have the help!

Max wanted strawberry cupcakes but they didn't have any mixes at the store so we went for the funfetti ones!! And of course we got the icing with the sprinkles attached!!
Max was quite the little pro at decorating them! He did them ALL by himself!!

We had so much fun making them together and decorating them. It was so nice to be home on a Sunday for a change! We actually all went to church together, had lunch, played, and had naps!

Random cuteness and latety....

Okay...so now that I have caught the blog up a little...here is why I have been so behind the past few weeks....This pic below is of the doctors office! We have been there about 10 times in the last 3 weeks!! UGH! And only 1 of those was for a well visit (Max's 3yr check up..which I still need to post about) and the rest were sick visits for Emery!! YIKES!! She has had a ear infection that WILL NOT GO AWAY!!!!

With that being said we have missed out on quite a few things because of my lil sick girl :(

However, we have still had fun and she hasn't been too horribly bad....well....some days are better than others. LOL

The pic below she found her reflection in the dishwasher and she was kissing herself!! How freaking cute is that!! Man I could just EAT her up!!!

Back to the doc...we ended up with 2 different antibiotics and her ears steadily got worse. Then we got the dreaded Rocephin shots three days in a row. That was probably the WORST three days of all of this ear infection! Emery was quite miserable!! We had LOTS of fussy times during it but we made it through and last Tuesday we had another ear recheck a few days after the shots and she was still had a little infection....so they put her on another antibiotic! UGH! Needless to say we may end up with tubes very soon :( I am so ready for it all to be over so I don't think I will complain too much if we do go the tubes route! Okay....enough about that....
The fridge is one of Emery's FAVORITE spots!! Ha ha! I told you this girl LOVES to eat....but in all seriousness she is just nosy and curious!
So as you can tell she wasn't too bad after the shots kicked in! We did do lots of playing in our pjs some days! And by the time the kids go down for bed I am passed out too! I got so far behind in blogging, embroidery, and working on stuff around the house. I was planning on consigning in the big Kids Town Consignment but I never got around to tagging anything...oh well...there is always next time!

Emery is really starting to play with her toys! It is so sweet to watch her stirring up her veggies and then trying to eat them or share them with you!

She is quite the little character!! She definitely has a mind of her own and she will let EVERYONE know about it too! I honestly have NO IDEA where she gets that from....LOL

And she is getting into EVERYTHING these days!!! So much FUN!!

I am so glad that she is starting to feel somewhat better....but now we are dealing with her two front teeth coming in :( YIKES!!! I am ready for her to be back to her little old smiley, happy self again all the time!!
