Water FUN!

This past Friday we got the water slide back out for the FIRST time this year!!
Max was SUPER excited!! Emery...well...not so much...she didn't get in the water until later when Laney and Linley arrived!! We had the Lawson fam over for a Mother's Day Cookout!! Everyone made it!! Gregg, LuLu and the girls (aka Linley and Laney) came first, then Grandmother and Granddaddy, Nicole, Taylor and the boys (Wesley, Ethan, and Sam) arrived a little later bc Taylor had to work.

Since we got rid of the swingset Max, Emery and I went and picked up a slip-n-slide at ToysRus...
I would have to say the kids LOVED it!!!

Emery finally decided to join in on the FUN!!!

Sweet cousin Linley took Emery down for a ride!!
The kids had a BLAST playing together!! Sad that the boys were late because the kids were wiped out by the time they got there and started playing...hence why I don't have any pictures of the boys....
Good times together with the family!!

Emery's LAST day of school!!

Little Miss Emery had her LAST day of school this past Wed!! They had a fun filled WATER DAY to end the year out right!!
I tried to get a cute picture of her before I left for the day but she just was more interested in pulling her swimsuit cover-up off. She really didn't care too much for it.

Emery and Ms. Renee!! They actually started the same day together!! They had an instant bond!
Emery and Ms. Alison!! This is actually my neighbor Jennifer's best friend!! Small world!! Emery loves her too and gets to see her often at church since we are both members at Faith Baptist!!
Teacher's end of the year gifts that I made for them!! They were super excited about them!! Made my day!!
Emery had a ROUGH day as I was told by my friend Amy that works at HHP. So sad. She had an allergic reaction to her sunscreen or possibly a bee sting (I found a stinger later in her foot). They actually threw her in the sink and scrubbed her off before putting her down for nap since her eyes were so swollen. My poor little baby!! Anyways, when we got there little miss was still napping!

She woke up pretty happy though with some CRAZY hair. The teachers gave her a sucker bouquet and a bubble necklace!! Emery LOVED it!!
And they gave me an end of the year gift too!! A sweet sweet letter and...
an ADORABLE little scrap book of her year at HHP!!
Look at her one of her first days!!! Crazy how much she has changed since Nov!!
Just loved these sweet Christmas pics too!! She of course had NOTHING to do with Santa...
Just so BLESSED to have had such a wonderful first year at HHP for Emery!! We were also so BLESSED to have two of the most AMAZING teachers and Godly women loving on my baby!! They honestly treated Emery like one of their own and I will be forever grateful for them!! Thanks again to Ms. Renee and Ms. Alison!! We LOVE you girls so much and will def keep in touch!!

Emery 20 months and a half

So I totally FAILED on the 20 months post...sadness...but I am making up for it a little late with a 20 and a half month post!!
Little Miss Personality is now about 27 lbs and 34 inches!! I really thought she had lost weight but I was wrong she actually just shot up in height recently!! She is wearing 18-24 month, 24 months, and some 2T in tops. Her shoe size is prob a 6 1/2 now if I had to guess. Diapers...we moved up to a 5 but since she is potty training herself so well I am about to move to pull-ups...I think....
If you can't tell by these pictures Emery is FULL of personality and a great big ball of ENERGY!! She is constantly on the go, go, go!! I really should be quite skinny as much as I chase this girl around!! LOL
Emery is TALKING so much more these days!! She is putting words together like "I wanna go", "hold you" (one of my favorites), "I get you" (as she is running after you), "I do it" (not my favorite as she thinks she is so INDEPENDENT...I swear she thinks she is 25), "lare you" (just precious and melts my heart!! she is meaning love you), "yea mam" (for yes mam..she says this so cute I think I may make her say it a few to many times a day), "warr-reee" for sorry (she learned this quick as I am constantly making Max tell her he is sorry for hitting or saying ugly things to her) she says "No" way cute too it is more like "Nooooooo" lots of fluctuations and added syllables in the word no, I am sure I missing a ton of cute things she says but this is all I can think of right off the top of my head...
Little Miss has some definite A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E and boy she lets you know it!! She doesn't really throw fits much she just gives crazy faces, screams, or hits at the air. Every once in a while we have the wailing throw down fits but honestly she expresses her attitude through facial expressions more than anything.
Emery LOVES to be outside!! She loves to slide, swing, play ball, bubbles, water balloons and her water table. Really anything outdoors she loves to do because she just loves to be out!
She LOVES candy!! Notice in some of these pictures she is eating a tootsie roll that I gave her. Yes, I used a little bribery to get some good pictures ;)
Foods...still LOVES cheese, meats, and fruits. I would say those are her favorites. She really is a good eater and will eat almost anything or at least try it. She isn't much for crackers, breads, fries, etc. She would much rather just have the meat and cheese oh and CANDY!! LOL She definitely has a sweet tooth!!
She is still into books especially the interactive ones!! I find her sitting in her rocker reading every now and then. These next few pictures Em has a bow in which is R-A-R-E in our house!! The girl is quick to rip out the bow or tell me "no bow"!! Oh well....maybe as she gets a little older she will want to wear them. If not I don't really care because I didn't want to wear them at her age either!
Sleeping schedule is still similar...Up around 7:30...down for nap around 2 (if she naps) and bedtime between 8-8:30. She never fights bedtime but boy does she fight her naps a lot of days...my guess is she just doesn't require a lot of sleep like me but I am not ready for no break from her just yet so if she doesn't nap I just let her have some down time in her room. I am sure it is a matter of time before she figures out how to get out of her crib. She has done it one time but that was a few months ago so I am guessing it was a fluke.
Really starting to learn some of her animals and the sounds they make. She is learning some colors..like blue, green, and pink. When she points to blue she doesn't call it blue she calls it "bubba" LOL She knows that is her bubba's favorite color!! So cute!! She honestly doesn't show that much interest in learning. She would rather play, play, play...guess I will leave that part for her teachers as I would rather be playing with her instead of making her frustrated ;)
Still LOVES singing and dancing!! She has learned so many songs and has such an easy time memorizing songs she hears a few times. I have no doubt that she will always have a love for singing and dancing. She loves to "ing" for others and will be quick to say "ing, mommy" wanting me to sing with her. My favorite song she sings and I so need to record it is "eep and ide" or "deep and wide"!! She even does the hand movements with it!! It is quite ADORABLE!!
Back to animals...she is acting like an elephant in the picture below..Ba ha ha ha!!
It didn't take Em long to figure out she had a bow in her hair.."no bow" and she tossed it to the floor. Oh well...at least I got a few of her with it in ;)
Emery is FULL of life, energy, love, personality, and FUN!! She is so so busy but totally worth every minute of it!! She is always keeping us on our toes but I wouldn't trade any of it!! She is such an amazing blessing and I cherish all these wonderful memories we are making everyday!! We love you sweet princess!!

Max's LAST Soccer Practice!!

This past Tuesday night marked Max's last soccer practice and team pictures!!
I snuck a few pictures while the photographer was adjusting his camera. Love the one below as all the kids were screaming "CHEESE!!" LOL
It took like 20 mins of soccer practice away to do the team and individual pictures but I don't think the kids even knew...then it was on to practice. Max and Noah doing what coach said...head on the ball!! So silly!!
Max and Noah watching one of their teammates dribble and score!! Max looks nervous for her and Noah was excited when she made it!!

This silly girl was so busy but I got her still for a moment to grab a few adorable pics!!

At the tale end of practice coach asked if parents wanted to come out and scrimmage against the entire team. It was so funny to see them all running after the ball!!
Craig was all about playing!! Love that he wanted to go out and play against Max!!
Emery even got in on the action at one point!!

Hands together and cheering for "Grants Goofballs!!" LOL
Has really been a fun season and one to remember being his first team sport and all!! We made some sweet new friends and look forward to them all playing together again!!
