Memphis ZOO!
Last Thursday Oct. 8th we went to the Memphis Zoo with our friends Hannah and Charity! We wanted zoo trip in with them before they move to Arizona! So sad! We are really going to miss them!
Snuggle Time!
Sweet snuggle time with Mr. Bear. Thought these pictures were too cute not to post. I moved Max's Cowboys recliner in front of the TV one morning so he could watch Baby Einstein. I go back in to see he has Mr. Bear and his B in the chair with him. Too CUTE!
Chocolate Chip Cookies!
Max first time eating Chocolate Chip Cookies! I mean I have given him a few bites here and there but this is the first time I just gave him a cookie to eat! He sure did LOVE it!

We have videos and pictures!!!
So, got wonderful news Wednesday night! Arlington Computers found stuff on my hard drive! Wahoo! They weren't sure what all they were going to retrieve so they said they would call me Thursday morning!
Thursday morning I got a phone call from Arlington Computers! They said they found most if not all my pictures and videos! What a BLESSING! I was thrilled. I went by yesterday afternoon and took them an external hard drive to put everything on. I now have everything back! I can't even tell you how happy I have been! Thank you, Thank you Arlington Computers!!! God is GOOD!

BAD NEWS!!
So....after dropping the laptop off at Best Buy yesterday I was VERY HOPEFUL that they were going to be able to retrieve all my special videos and pictures....however....they called about 7pm last night and said there was NOTHING on the hard drive! I of course burst out in tears! How could this be happening!!! I went up to Best Buy red faced and teary eyed and got a complete refund. I asked if there was ANYTHING else I could do. The guy simply told me that we could send it off to Geek Squad Headquarters and for the mere starting price of $1500 they could try and see if they could find anything on the hard drive. WHAT??? 1500??? That is CRAZY! I mean I don't want to lose these precious memories but 1500???
So...after crying...having a mental breakdown...and crying some more I got on the desk top computer to try and figure out what I could do! I now understand after many talks with my computer whiz brother that my son did some damage! It isn't just an easy fix. I sent a help message out on Facebook last night and got many responses! Thank you everyone! I called Arlington Computers this morning and I am going to drop off the laptop this afternoon in hopes that they can find SOMETHING on the hard drive. Luckily they give a free quote first before they do anything to the computer. Please be praying that we will get some good news VERY SOON!
On a more positive note, I am very blessed and thankful for this blog! If for some reason I can't get these precious memories back I at least have some videos on the blog that I can watch! God is GOOD!

Who knew......
Let me start this post by saying WHO KNEW a 15 month old could do a system restore on a laptop and delete EVERYTHING! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Okay, so it all started last night. I was working on our desktop computer and Max and daddy were sitting in the floor playing on the laptop. I hear Max crying and I asked Craig what was wrong. Craig said the computer was doing some kind of restore and he wasn't going to let Max touch it....so therefore he was crying. While this was going on neither of us have any idea what it is doing because we had never seen the screen before. I start freaking out because I read in the manual that he has somehow done a system restore which deletes everything off the hard drive and puts it back to the original condition. So I then turn off the computer hoping that when I restarted it it would be back to normal. Well....lets just say it wasn't back to normal... I immediately called my computer wiz brother and had a complete meltdown on the phone. I was so upset because all my pictures and little videos of Max were on the laptop. I do have backups of most of my pictures on shutterfly but no backups of videos. I have just been devastated that I may never get to watch those sweet little videos of the first rolling over, eating cereal for the first time, first crawl, first mama, first dada, etc. Needless to say I was emotional. (You have to know too that on Mondays I have been up since 3-4pm on Sunday...worked 7p-7a Sunday night...get 1-2hr nap with Max....and up till bedtime Monday night...so just imagine how tired I was on top of being emotional....lets just say I was pretty ridiculous last night.) My brother and husband deserve a big award for dealing with me last night!
The good and the bad news! I went to Best Buy first thing this morning and they said they may be able to get all personal data off and put it on an external hard drive before completing the system restore. Lets just pray that this is possible. It cost $100 if they can get the info off and nothing if they can't. I will know in the next 2-3 days. So no picture updates on the blog until I get my laptop back up and running. And just want to let everyone out there know.....please please please get an external hard drive and backup all your precious memories!!!
Oh on a funny note.....(well not that any of this is really that funny...but)...the guy at best buy said that there is a 3 sec window during startup to push F11 to do system restore...he said it was pretty freaking impressive that a 15 month old did that! Like I said in the beginning....who knew...
